Two years a Pelican!
Two years today since I signed on as a Durn Forn'er.
What a great place. Amazing knowledge in so many disciplines. Outstanding readiness to help and support. Good all around company, both for a laugh and more serious matters. Genuine and robust and still so very boyish. Lovely. Looking forward to two more years, at least! Thanks you all! ![]()

It just seems like you have been here much longer. Like 2 years and 3 months.

Livi,
Congrats! In July of this year it will be 5 years for me... bought my first 911 on 6/22/2002 and have been addicted to this site since finding it. I couldn't keep the car on the road without you guys (especially Tab Tanner)!

Marcus,
Of all the things that Pelican has helped you with, other than the front tie rod ends that is, is working out your situation with your girlfriend and kids. That is one thing that will remain with you the rest of your life and something that you should be proud of. Kids are our future and you did the right thing. Joe A

Livi,
Do you find that you have a different picture of the US than do your friends (in Sweden) who do not hang out on PPOT? Just thinking there cannot be all that many Swedes who hang out on an off topic forum populated mostly by Americans.

Congrats. I think I just passed my third year and working on my fourth year but I don't have nearly as many posts as you've had in two.

Thank you all for your kind words!
Yes, Wayne, I noticed the post count is high. I really try to avoid overt spamming, but there are so many interesting debates. Jyl, the Swedish population is divided on the general feeling toward America. I think the absolute majority has a positive view. Not least the educated with a higher income. Many of us feel we are slaves under the high tax pressure system. Looking toward US as a country where it is possible to make a good or even great living if one is willing to work for it. In Sweden you typically have a rather good life, whether you are willing or able to work for it or not. One thing that many Swedes are not so happy about however, is the feeling that the US Government make up their own rules as they see fit regarding foreign policies and actions. Not cooperating with the international community on the same premises as every one else. Personally, (fear of banning ![]() That feeling has very much been confirmed the last two years on Pelican.
