Let's start another watch thread...

I'm very excited today to be the new owner of a fine Sinn U2.

Traded this for it to a guy on TimeZone.

And here's my old faithful.

I love that Sinn Rick... I think it was from you that I had first heard of the brand in another thread.

How abot a Heuer Monaco!

Number 00400 when originally released as a limited edition. Then they just started cranking them out in all different styles.

I still love it and get complements all the time.

The only money I spent was for shipping. She'll be getting a nice ring when my job thing shakes out. And below is the next watch I want, maybe as an engagement watch.

What a coincidence- I just bought a new watch today. I am hopeless at close-up photography, so here is a pic from the web. Seiko Sportura SPC 003. Looks way better 'in person'...

Cheers,

Paul.

I like Sinn a lot. Sold one (a Val7750 chrono) and have regretted it ever since. The SO has a lady Sinn, which needs to Germany for case work- she fell on it, and the bead blasted cases....

I had a U1 for a little while, and didnt like it tho. The U2- thats a quartz movement, no?

No, that's not quartz.

These are the specs. Pretty overengineered.

My mistake. I thought one the "U"s was a quartz. Yours must have the ETA 2893 UTC variant.

Over engineered. Er, yeah. Try not to go the 2000 mtrs....

This is the U1 (from your site). Great rubber strap and clasp, but I wasnt a wrap for it.
