Illegals should not be allowed to drive
 

A few days ago, I saw on the news that a hispanic man who did not have a drivers license killed a woman and her unborn child. There is an investigation going on to determine whether he was in the country illegally. Now this kind of thing really irks me. The number of people driving on the streets today with invalid or no drivers licenses I'm sure is astounding. Anyone have the numbers on that?

The poor girl was coming home from visiting her grandmother, something I do as I'm very close to my grandma...it was just heartbreaking.

In case anyone is wondering, it happened in the town of Landis, NC. Such a shame, really.

Somebody needs to do something about this. What is currently being done is clearly not enough.

Another case recently involved a man with a DWI and revoked license was driving and killed a woman and her 2 (or 3) young children.

I always try to drive carefully, but there's no way I can keep someone else from hitting me on account of their wreckless and irresponsible driving.

It's a dangerous world out there. Be safe, all.

blame the US government. they have failed to secure the border , and to protect us from these kinds of crimes, including the large amounts of illegal drugs smuggled into this country.

what the hell are they doing up there in Washington? it seems all politicians care about is making their wallets fat.

Illegal immigration = Cheap Labor = High Corporate Profits.

Corporations = US Government.

there you go, it's not very complicated.

"Illegal alien" is such a strong term for these poor, misunderstood refugees of a hard life that want nothing more than to embrace America, American culture, respect its laws and traditions and assimilate into our culture. We might hurt their widdle feelings if we don't start calling them "undocumented immigrants" and giving them free access to our hospitals, schools, roads and courts. :rolleyes:

It is an interesting situation when the president of our country speaks about toughening immigration laws, when at the same time has "Viva Bush" stickers distributed to areas of high illegal alien population.

Send the illegals in iraq to close the border. Two problems solved at once. Ha!

They are seen running from the crash. I wonder why?

You'd think they could afford to pay for the auto insurance with the credit card offered to 'illegals' by Bank of America.

Illegal voters in SoCal recently elected the hispanic mayor of Los Angeles by a vast majority.

Have you taken a transcontinental red-eye flight lately? The flight attendants hide after the briefing. No one on the full plane speaks english or has bathed since crossing the border. All the belongings they could swim with are stuffed into the overhead compartments or under the seats. The coyotes are rushing them to their new jobs ASAP.

Guys, the cow is well out of the barn, and the pasture as well.

It's all over here in the west, the rest of the country is not too far behind.

Been thinking about moving to Idaho or Montana again. They do not put up with that crap up there.

Illegals are told not to let the sun set with them still in town or they are run out the next morning from what friends of mine say.

Cannot say that I blame them and its time to seal the border... No smiley face here, am dead serious.

I am not hispanic, but...

This thread has racist undertones.

I put it to you that:

* The issue is NOT that the man in question was hispanic, or that he was an illegal immigrant, but that he was driving unlicenced, and in a dangerous/culpable manner

* His residency/visa status is a SEPERATE issue to the accident

* I am sure there are far more US residents driving around without licences than there are illegal immigrants driving around without licences

* I am sure that there are comparable numbers of fatal accidents involving US residents, as compared to illegal immigrants

I also put it to you that opinions should be based on FACT, EDUCATION, & EXPERIENCE

If you have never been an illegal immigrant; if you have never dealt first hand with illegal immigrants; if you can't quote the studies that reveal the statistics that pertain to the lives and activities and impact of illegal immigrants - then perhaps you have no RIGHT to an opinion on them?

Not taking pot-shots at anyone, just food for thought...

I am "illegal" and I drive illegally....but nothing special only a 911 Turbo.

There is a very good reason it's "illegal". Illegal immigration causes harms to people that live here lawfully, play by the rules, pay their taxes, and contribute to the system.

if we don't stop this now, the US will turn into a susburb of Los Angeles, with pot shops on every corner.
unfortunately those in power think the "war on terror" is 5,000 miles away in Iraq and not here at home. how sad is that?

:) , we in Australia have our fair share of illegal imigrants, border protection issues, and racism.
