Marc, That is a very nice looking car! I did not get to look inside today, but the exterior looked like it has been very well maintained. Drive it in good health! or, you can drive it like you just stole it!

Dave

mkaraoglan 05-06-2007 07:50 PM

i think i'll drive it like derek stole it!

slodave 05-06-2007 08:03 PM

Chris, Radu, what did you think about that little short cut at Coldwater South? Skirting the stop sign..

Radu, sorry for today, next time I'll step on it.

Kevin, your exhaust sounds very nice.

oceanvue 05-07-2007 05:47 AM

Yea, but it entices me to drive it like Derek stole it

lfot 05-07-2007 12:55 PM

Man, you guys all act like I'm a freakin' car thief!
I just borrowed it for a bit.
Power corrupts.

Hi all...

I had a great time yesterday getting to meet you and push the car a bit. Any chance that anyone is interested in opening up the choice of venues...further west on Mulholland and the canyons, Angeles Crest? Let me know!

mkaraoglan 05-07-2007 02:56 PM

well to be fair derek DID spend the first few minutes opening the car, setting off the alarm, turning on the wipers, stalling the car and finally getting a move on...

he also did get to endure my retro music selection...

Oh, we must be talking about a differant Derek. the one I saw stalled it twice. Angeles Crest would be coolio. I'm not sure where it is but I've heard it's great.

Hey, Marcus, welcome to the dark side. ;) Good to see you here on Pelican. 36 posts is far too few, man.

There are lots of venues for some variety. Big Bear has been discussed recently on its own thread (well, I guess the Palomar thread). Big Tajunga is a great run. The R Gruppe just did that one on Thurs. And, I can always recommend Glendora Ridge Road (Google maps).

lfot 05-07-2007 03:31 PM

Ok ok...

My knee hit the wiper switch.
I put it in reverse, but killed it because it was actually 6th.
I was also busy turning off the radio, the ac, and trying to find the damn Sport suspension button.
The alarm... don't have one myself. My bad.

Marc, when you drive my car, you'll understand my "oh my god, how many freakin' dials and buttons can you fit in here!" reaction.

i only ever run it really early in the morning (like 7am) on sundays. watch out for sportbikes & suv's crossing the double yellow. lots of law enforcement too, especially on the climb to angeles forest hwy. i never speed on that stretch. at the top the speed limit climbs to 50 (or is it 55?), which allows some fun to be had.

Great footage and great sounds Jim!
Nice work.

slodave 05-12-2007 07:00 PM

Wow, quiet around here. Everyone planning on being with their moms tomorrow? Guess I'll have the road all to myself.

porcupine911 05-12-2007 07:21 PM

we're thinking of bringing both p-cars tomorrow. :)

nameisbauer 05-12-2007 11:24 PM

I have friends in town. If they want to drive my other car, we will be there.

The Chef 05-12-2007 11:38 PM

I wish I could make out with you guys. Mothers day duties. Next time I guessSmileWavy

KevinP73 05-13-2007 11:11 AM

I've got to spend time with the mother also. Best do it while she is still with us. Have fun guys and post pics.

oceanvue 05-13-2007 12:16 PM

I'm bring the 928 so someone better be there and say nice things

slodave 05-13-2007 06:22 PM

Heh, got to have a little fun on the way home. There was a 996 on Ventura that wanted to have a little fun and the guy wasn't young. Looked to be in his 50's. Had a good time and the drive was very civil - well almost ;)

Dave

lfot 05-13-2007 06:24 PM

I must say, today was quite enjoyable. Some fun here and there without terrorizing the natives. ;)

oceanvue 05-13-2007 07:31 PM

Today was fun. Chris's wifey wife is the coolest

And she handled hubby's Cayman S with authority.
So where are the pics, Chris?

slodave 05-13-2007 08:39 PM

Yeah, a big thumbs up for Chris's wife - even if she did not follow me at that one - uh, turn, she thought about it. Pretty soon, she'll be up front leading!

Dave
