Well here's my analysis. It would have been a lot better had I cut in around the windows and doors first. The pad makes a terrible mess because it releases so much paint. The roller releases a LOT of paint. I couldn't keep up at 1. I would cut it on and off to keep from globbing up the wall. The machine won't help me move the furniture or lay more drop cloths...I'll have to finish this tomorrow. The cat doesn't like paint on his tail, but won't let me clean it off. All in all, I noticed some time savings. I think next time I use it I can do the prep work and really save some time. I still need to do the ceiling...usually do that first...so this should really help that part along nicely.

That's my usual plan. I wanted to get the walls since it's a lot of work and I'm trying to prove to my wife who's out of town this week that I didn't spend 4 evenings cruising the interweb.

My wife is the paintmeister in the house, I provide assistance with ladders, lighting, etc. No need to turn her loose with a power roller. Jim

While the quality is lower, almost a throw away, the battery powered power roller is great. I have painted so much with these. I painted the front of my 4 story building with this power rollers. I painted my back fence. The advantage is the battery powered unit holds 1/2 gallon of paint and then it slings on your shoulder. You manually control the paint flow by turning the pump on and off. No stooping to refill the roller. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Wagner-Spraytech-Battery-Powered-Roller/dp/B0006JJSEY
