Those who don't like Pat, I invite you to join us at this years, Pelicans at the Dragon event. (early Nov).
When you meet the man face to face you will find what you don't expect, trust me on that one. I figured it was going to be a good weekend fistfight (which I would win by the way) I couldn't have been further from the truth, I found a friend.
If you don't like what he writes, go to the next thread.

Pat I know you don't need me to defend you, I'm just a little tired of the bash Pat threads.

I'm sure Pat and I would get along fine, but in the end he's still a nutball.

I don't understand why we feel threatened by ideas. I don't agree with Pat most of the time, but I've learned a lot reading his posts.

Maybe I'm crazy but I've truly enjoyed meeting Nostatic, Cool Chick, Don Plumley, Tyson, Gocar and others. Truth is I'd like to spend more time with all of them. What do they have in common? Damn near NOTHING except they are bright, interesting nice people.

You can add Superman, Tabs and FastPat to the psychotic list of Pelicans I'd love to share a beer with.

That's my point Moses, I have friends that are nuts in real life too. They don't get a free pass on their comments either

moses is a poopy-head

is that right? are you supposed to hyphenate poopy-head?

does anal-retentive have a hyphen?
Is gullible really not in the dictionary?

Pat and I meet in a few weeks. If all I met with were people who agreed with me, what a sad state.

Poopy-head, according to Strunk and White, is only hyphenated by poopyheads.

Because either you didn't drink enough beer, or didn't get your vacinations.

i met pat at the dragon run, didn't know who he was when i pulled up behind a red targa on one of the scenic overlooks. as i got out of my car i saw a man bent over picking up trash left behind by some dolt. the man policing the area was pat. any man that has the grace to leave an area nicer than how he found it is a true gentleman, and i wish there were more like him.
we spoke for about ten minutes or so, after which we both got back to the reason we were there, driving the dragon. i had a great time chasing him through the twisties, i hope he didn't think i was crowding him. we were going a pretty good clip. anyway, i felt like i had made a new friend. i know that he does not need me to defend him from anyone, but i will say that he is a really good guy, and a damn good driver to boot. i look forward to seeing him again next time.

Oh yeah? Well, your mother wears army boots. Heck, she had to hang a pork chop around your neck to get the dog to play with you.

I'm sticking my tongue out at all of you, and calling you a bunch of "poo-poos."

In fact, my mother really did wear army boots (I have the photos), and earned a Bronze Star for the effort.

I too would probably have a good time BS'ing with Pat in person about airplanes, cars, property maintenance equipment, guns, etc etc, but this is the Off Topic forum and if I want to heave a few jabs at what I perceive as someone elses whacked political rantings, then I will.

Other than Red UFO, 360 and the rodeo clown, I would probably enjoy meeting and BS ing with everyone here and I doubt politics would even come up.

Now back to business.....The south will NEVER rise again.

I don't know, I think I would enjoy meeting Redufo over a beer. Clinical Psychology is kind of a hobby of mine.
