I recently saw a young lady on a Segway at the town center (called the "Square" or "Green") She looked like a total tard standing a foot above everyone else.

I can't think of a single reason to own, rent, or even bother to try one of those.
Segways? A cool toy, but that's all it is.

I was just down in St Augustine/Daytona Beach, FL during Bike Week and I was told be several others "in the know" that Harley Davisdon is partnering up with a company to make trikes. The target customers are the older folks who find the two-wheel motorcycle too physically demanding and since there are alot of aging but well-to-do baby boomers, there is a huge market for these (three wheelers) if they can do it right.

HD must have engineers monitoring the curve in the road in front of my house. It's a great curve - has decent superelevation and the pavement is perfect! The road I live on is a veritable parade of motorcycles, muscle cars and hot rods every weekend. But it's always fun to watch and/or listen to these people who really have no business on a motorcycle attempt to downshift and negotiate the curve, particularly with a biga$$ hog! They need a trike!
As I stated earlier, I really think Bombardier's trike is a neat idea that could catch on with the snowmobile crowd . It would be a very comfortable platform for them, particularly the older crowd. A much better alternative for the husband-wife riders than getting on his & hers hogs and not having a clue. I doubt these are intended to interest true motorcycle enthusiasts. Will be interesting to see if the gamble pays off. If it does, Yamaha, Arctic Cat and Polaris will be next.

With three bikes in the garage, I can say the Bombardier trike is pretty hot to me. Quite cool. The Peugeot and VW show trikes were even better, but they never made it to market.
Now the Segway...not interested. So it self balances.. So what? There are lots of self balancing two wheelers. They are called bicycles.

![]() I don't know much about the engine, one article said "Powered by Kawasaki sports bike engine" (the 1200 cc not the current 1400 cc). Yet another article said: http://www.auto123.com/en/info/news/roadtest,view,Campagna.spy?artid=51331&pg=1 Quote:
