I quite about a year ago, Chantix and e-cigarettes helped. I smoked >1 pack a day for my entire adult life. I didn't have any smoking related health issues, and I don't feel any better or worse now than when I smoked. I miss it occasionally, but not often.
My grandfather smoked 2-3 backs of unfiltered Pall Malls every day, he died at age 92. Not saying that smoking isn't bad for you but it's a statistical thing, not a guaranteed death sentence like some people make it out to be. I quit because I decided to become healthier in general, eating, exercise, etc. and smoking was a part of that. I guess my point is to reinforce what others have said, that there is no way someone will quit unless they honestly want to. |
