Better check that number again.
$630,000 divided by $45,000 would be $14K/student.
He posted 630 million.

There's another example of government gone bad: specific federal funding goes into the local general fund, and then dissapears into pork.
You can't by a house on a student loan, but apparently you can build a bridge to nowhere.

[edit-missuse of federal tax dollars is the calling card of the righties on this board, but they seem strangely absent]

Both political parties promote this "class hatred"....while raking in the loot from ALL classes. Like I said, a pool hall hustle. Sadly, it works. Most of the people can indeed be fooled most of the time.

Thats right, under the Republican Tax cuts, the economy was growing, business was growing, unemployment was at record lows, yet liberals kept talking how bad everything was, even with record spending. But as soon as the dems got into control, they hurt small business & large with the raising of the minimum wage, raised taxes and that is going to cause, as I stated a while back, "if" the dems got back into power, would put the growing economy in the tank, looks like I was correct

And talk about taking away our freedoms, the dems are already trying to take away our Right to Bear Arms , yet you have no problem with that.

Back to the original topic...yeah, I'm feeling the MFin' squeeze. My billing rate over the past 2 years has gone up about 16%, yet my salary was only bumped 3% last year, and none this year. COLA alone is worth about 7% over that time period.

Poor management decisions (IMO) put the company in a tight spot towards the end of last year, and the cash flow still hasn't rebounded. "I'll make it up to you" says the bossman.

Since the Minimum Wage bill hasn't passed, and the supposed 'tax raises' don't exist, it takes a lot of imagination to blame the current economic troubles on the Democrats. Or maybe that's just lack of information.

Thank you, big egg on the face. Calculator was the best friend in HS.

Not to offtrack the thread, but read somewhere that the average incarceration cost is $50k/year/inmate with 1 of 136 Americans currently in prison. Education seems kind of cheap in comparison.

I believe most of the larger cities in TX are fairly cheap. That is before Katrina I haven't been back since the disaster.

Yeah, if only these dammed shoeless, hippie, vagrant LIBERALS would get out of the SF Bay Area everything would be fine! Gimmie a break dood. SF is the creative heart of the entire United States, what do you think its going to cost to live here?

You want cheap living? Move someplace that sucks, usually plenty of Republicans hanging around there to keep you company too.
