Interesting article on this in the WSJ today. The remark was ignored for days. A group called Media Matters (I understand that it's a left wing organization usually monitoring Rush/Hannity etc.) posted the video on their website which started the ball rolling. CNN and the other orgs pounced on it (as I suspected) because it was in their competitive interest...at one point Sumner Redstone was going to step in and overrule Moonves but alas did not happen and his pffice won't comment.

Funny, minutes after the Rutgers news conference I changed the channel and there was a black dude calling his black girlfriend a hoe...probably yelled it about 20 times. Why isn't Maury the Sleeze Povitch kicked off the air. What's fair for one is fair for the other?

Those quotes are pretty funny. I've heard him a few times but didn't realize he was that colorful. I think he did call Chelsea a horseface, surprised they didn't include that. Oh and a Chelsea joke:
