Let's face it. America is fattening up - and at a young age. What else are you going to wear if your body is so blotted and shapeless you're embarrassed to let anybody see any part of it? These guys are going to die young from obesity and heart failure. Glad I won't be around to have to pay for their hospital bills.

It's a cool irony when a fleeing perp gets tripped up by his prison-style fashion.

Doesn't this fall under "indecent exposure"?

There is a great Sopranos episode where Tony walks over to a young guy in the fancy restaurant where he is eating and tells him to take off his hat. "They don't sell hot dogs here", he tells him. It's classic.

"Bald spots"? What are those? Everyone in SoCal that is losing their hair (and many, many more that are not) shave their heads to "hide" the bald spot. I have a full head of hair (thank you) but I used to think that was a good way to deal with it ...that is until EVERYONE started doing it. Its trite now; overdone.

LOVE the Tony Soprano idea, unfortunately I ain't "carrying" so I probably couldn't make it stick like he could.

I think about that scene every time I see some idiot with a ball cap on sideways or backwards in a restaurant any better than a dive diner.

I wear a ball cap or even skull cap a lot because my hair is getting pretty long. When at work, I have it gelled down and it looks respectable. The only time I ever wear a ball cap backwards is when I'm firing a rifle from prone position or sticking my head under my 993's decklid. And I never wear a hat in a restaurant unless it's fast food or a diner or I'm freezing cold.

I wear my ball cap backwards when working outside here in AZ. Self defense against the sun.

As to the "droopy drawer" look, I refer to it as a return to the safe times when one was a toddler with a load in his pants.

Well, that is not how it started, but close. Extra-baggy pants started in prisons hanging down as advertisement, as easy access for Butt plugging

A student of history, an a child hood friend is on death row. OK, really, I was on the Government Affairs board with my local chamber, and a few other government boards, a few years back, this came up (I don't know why, I think because the neighboring city had a growing crime rate, what ever, it came out that it started in prison. A few years back, a buddy who owns a bar (I know, you are surprised that I have friends who own bars) let his sons take them over, colleged educated white boys, who wore baggy pants, boy did they get pissed when I asked

It depends on the situation, if i'm not in the stands ( out of my seat, restroom, vendor line ), no.

If I'm in my seat I will stand and remove the hat out of respect for others around me.
