OK, you win. What you did was completely justifiable.

BTW, did your GF pay the vet bill?

Again, I just don't know. Maybe these fellows had a better idea.

Well maybe that would be a one of the reasons not to drive like a freaking moron on any public street let alone a foreign country. It was just a matter of time before this happened.

Regarding the local canyon runs. I know first hand of people on this board losing it in the canyons and by the grace of god or sheer good luck didn't seriously hurt or kill someone.

All the more reason to not race on public roads there, legally or not.

Rich guys in Porsches are always at fault.) Will there ever be a reliable, trustworthy account of what happened?
Good points, although I'm not convinced of the "rich guys in porsches" angle. There is plenty of outrage when an 18 yr old a$$hat does a hit & run in a fart-canned Civic.

Back on topic, with all the money these guys supposedly have couldn't they arrange a legal road race?

I know ... that would suck all the fun out of the "rebel law breaking thrill" aspect...

elderly couples aren't worth that many points though. These guys were amateurs. Now teenagers...that's there the challenge is. Much quicker on their feet and hence, higher point value.

D'oh, they are ruining a great story with their balance reporting:

http://www.guardian.co.uk/uklatest/story/0,,-6607494,00.html

Quote:
It is believed the two men waited at the scene until ambulance crews arrived to help the driver of the second car, before rejoining the race towards the Albanian border.

It is thought the men reported the accident to police when they arrived at the border, and were asked to give statements.

But it is believed that as they returned to the border to continue their trip they were told the other person involved had died and were taken back to a nearby police station.

Male adult: 20
Male teenager: 40
Male infant/toddler: 70
Female (any age): 10 more than men in any age bracket
Senior citizen (regardless of gender): 100

Amazing. So they didn't flee the scene in a sordid and shameful escape attempt? But I read it on the internet, and the internet is never wrong!

Should have figured that that blog was biased against the rally and would tailor facts to suit.

Ya, well I read somewhere on the internet that when they were leaving the scene, they backed over a cat, then pretended like they didn't know anything about it.

No I paid cause she is a highly under paid clerical worker.Although once she got Peppy (cat) back home she set my bedtime pretty early for the next couple nights which is a good thing! What was best was for once I could actually have sex without a cat on the bed
