Texas Ladies Meeting

Thought you guys would get a kick out of this.... from a buddy of mine who resides in the Country of Texas....

For those of you who don't live here in Texas, and think we are a bunch of uncivilized ruffians - well, it is not true! In fact, we have ladies groups that meet regularly to discuss current events and develop needed home-skills.

Here is a photo taken at a recent "Say NO to Hillary" ladies group meeting in Pearland....

The fat one in the middle needs to learn more about facing her weapon in a safe direction.

The one on the right does too. And the guns on the table are pointed all over.

Those ladies are not from Tejas - proof being...
1) A true lady Texan would have a Shiner in her hand.
2) A true lady Texan wouldn't mess with a handpiece, they go for pump action 12 gauge complete with a slug
3) A true lady Texan is about 80 pounds lighter, bigger hair, more make-up and a smile that melts a yankees soul.
4) Where the pie?

Texans generally know gun safety rules and follow them, not evident in this pic

If you look closely you will see that the guns that are pointed "incorrectly" according to some of you, have the cylinders open.
Do any of you gun safety critics actually know anything about guns?

I know something about guns. The first rule is that the barrel doesn't point toward a human or even in a person's general direction. It doesn't matter if the gun is unloaded, the cylinder is open, the safety is on or anything else.

My kids are schooled that even toy guns are not pointed at people. That's the way I was brought up and the way kids are taught to respect guns and adults are taught ever to take chances with them. The barrel never points at a person.

Even sitting on the table it would be better practice to point them so that they don't point toward people. If I walked into a room and the guns lined up on the table were pointing into the room I would automatically rearrange them so that they lined up and were pointed away from anyone who would walk by. Gun safety starts with the assumption that anything the barrel points at is being shot. Never break that rule and you'll never hurt anyone with your gun.
