				Did OBL expect the response he got?
			 
			Just curious what the consensus is here. (If its not clear, the question is did he expect the retaliation brought by the US after 9/11) | ||

			No.  I think he was happy to get much more than he could have possibly expected.

			I don't think he expected to lose his base in Afghanistan, lose the supportive government there, have Pakistan's gov't. side with us, see us oust Saddam Hussein and capture or kill all of the 9/11 planners.  He may have been prepared for that, but I doubt he was expecting it.

			Before 911 Osma told his Mother he would have to be in hiding for awhile. I don't think he expected the US response in Afgan. I think he expected the US to invade like the Soviets did. Iraq he got more than he expected, his wishes came true.
