Shaun,
I have had a big mouth precisely about how he has turned his back on conservative ideology. Nobody has been louder than me with the exception of Jim727 and a few others about his willingness to compromise his political party and constituency. He's a fraud and needs to go. I am beginning to believe in the trilateral commission hoopla and the one world government rhetoric. I have been sent numerous URLs on some sort of conspiracy to unite all of North America into a North American Union with a common currency. It seems plausible with these neo-one world government crackpots you hear about...I heard Gore was a big donor and advocate.. Seriously!

He's a career politician, which means he's inherently an untrustworthy scumbag.
That said, he's probably a better and more qualified scumbag than any of the other clowns running right now. At least he's got some vision for the future - something we've been without for the last eight or so years.

Shaun,
A hell of a lot longer than that. Maybe since Reagan.. Clinton had no vision except sex and gutting the military. He stuck his finger in the air and asked the pollsters.

I'm not sure Gore will be acceptable to the majority of the populace, but as gore knows, sometimes that doesn't mean you can't be president.
I give Gore props. He bowed out when it was time. I'm uneasy about his environmental agenda, and the way his nutjob wife went after hard rock music back in the day. And I think he lacks the charisma Barak has, and he competes to much with a base hillary already has to be a viable democratic candidate.

Livi, you might find this hard to swallow, but it's 100% true. Al Gore's stance on guns is why he is not president now.
I won't go into the whole explanation of how our electoral college system works, but in 2000 Gore lost West Virginia and his home state of Tennessee, both of which he should have handily won and would have made Florida irrelevant. He lost these states because he scared rural gun owners during the primary, in which he tried to out-liberal Bill Bradley, who was about as far left as they come. It was a typical Gore, super pander move, say or do anything to get elected, regardless of what he really thought. And he lived to regret his words. Had he won either, not both, of those states, he'd have become president. WV used to be a reliably Democrat state and Gore certainly should have won his home state. Though, like many politicians, Gore never had a real job or many roots in his home state. He actually grew up in Wash. DC and spent a few summers on the family farm in TN.

Seriously though, Gore is borderline psycho...the guys not right in the head. He's like McCain but only much more gullible.

Thanks all, I am getting a fuller picture of Gore. Maybe he is not all that genuine and truly sincere that he made to believe in the interview.
Good summary, Rick! He must have been truly disappointed knowing very well he had a chance but apparently blew it on a single misconception - never disregard the dude with the gun! Canīt help but to think he made a surprisingly good impression as a person though. Despite the fact that it looked like he had a nose and eye job.. lendaddy, another very good summary! Fun too!

Whomever gets the next presidency, the taxpayers will have to face the rath of 8 years of glutinous, fraudulant, and corrupted overspending by the current admin, so economically we are ****ed anyway.
He would/will repair to some extent international relations and markets to make the national debt chart line a little more horizontal.

Yes, he fooled you. He is a cook, a nutcase.
He lives in a fantasy world where he actually believes the things he makes up. |

One more thing, if anyone buys Al Gore's fantasy that global warming is due directly from the action of humans, you've been duped.
Don't feel bad tho, seems like most (not all) humans are foolish enough to buy the scam so you are not alone. Sam Gore |

Climate change? We beat that dead horse months ago. To admit that man's actions could contribute to any climate effect is far different than an illogical statement that man is solely responsible for any change. To claim otherwise is denial, plain and simple. All systems react to the total of inputs. Nature is not selective.

Livi, it just so happens that a lot of Porsche owners are right wing neo conservatives. I have never seen one ever be wrong about any issue.

I met Al at the Sundance Festival a few years ago while he was busy allowing people to love him and bask in his genius.
What an egotistical, self righteous moron. Oh I was at an event where the gentleman who produced his film was there and he is just as blind, but a much smarter businessman Steve

I've met Al Gore before too and he seemed like a nice guy. In fact, I've met just about every politician out there and most are pretty nice and even personable. But it doesn't make them right or honest or fit for high office.
