![]() That car is so beautiful that Tony Montana wouldn't even blow it up. My vote is for the AMC Pacer...and also those hideous Square Honda mini-van things that people are driving around in now. |

"My vote go to the new Beetle...!"
But does it count that 7 out of every 10 new Beetles are driven by cute-to-hot birds (women, chix etc)? |

![]() To get the full effect, you really need to see a early green model in person! ![]() ![]() Keep in mind that this is supposed to be a 4wd -- look at that ground clearance! And what's up with the extra slots on the front hood -- didn't they understand the cooling requirements before they designed the bodywork??? ![]()

Years ago, I placed a note under an Aztec's windshield wiper. It read: "They're paying you to drive this, right?"

I tuned into an episode of My Classic Car the other night. The presenter, Dennis Gage, was swooning over a concept car the owner rescued from GM, Ford or Chrysler in the 60-70's. The car's paint, chrome and upholstery were restored to flawless 100 point condition, and it was probably worth a million bucks being only one of a kind. However it too, like the Aztec, is butt ugly. Fortunately for the car industry as in many industries, beauty and butt-ugly is in the mind of the beholder. I can't understand people's appreciation for some of the older vehicles other than for the historical significance of survival through the years. And because of that, they're worth more than my house. In fact, in about 30 years, a shiny, like-new Aztec will also attain some level of fame not unlike that '57 Plymouth they uncovered a few weeks ago in its mud grave. YMMV, Sherwood |
