So you have a problem with Vick killing dogs? Next time you have that juicy steak, you are supporting an industry that murders thousands of cows, chickens, lambs, and pigs.
that's quite a stretch isn't it?

how they die is just a technicality. The point is that they are killed/murdered... whether it be for consumption, sport or "illegal" sport....

yes sir. And much more healthier because of it. Protein, you say? Oatmeal, Soymilk , baked beans, broccoli, brown rice, almonds...

I believe 99.9% of meat eaters are BLIND to the process that brings that piece of meat to their local supermarket, all nicely wrapped up , ready for grilling. It's the dirty little secret nobody talks about.
If people witnessed even a few minutes of what happens, they would be sick to their stomachs.

and then people get all uptight about Vick killing dogs.. what about the cow they had for dinner? It was killed too. they dont seem to be complaining about that , are they now?

Yeah, they are killed. But out of a necessity to feed you and billions of others on this planet. Mike Vick's actions killed dogs purely for the act of dogs being killed. Again, big difference.

Just checking.

In my line of work, I have been to pig, cattle, turkey, chicken, etc. processing facilitites. You name it, I have not only been there, but worked 8 hour Security shifts. Going to college in Iowa, I have also spent a lot of times on farms, so I have been there, and to top it off, I had a nice big juicy steak and a beer last night that we grilled, yummy..

This is plain false. there is no necessity to murder animals for their meat for consumption.

everything you need to survive grows out of the ground. fruits, vegetables, herbs, spices, etc...It's a miracle the way it works. Many diseases can be attributed to animal consumption.

No, the "dirty little secret" is your attempt to turn this into a political agenda as have many vegans in light of animal abuse vs. human consumption of meat.

Honestly, you're too transparent, and that argument is as dead as a doornail.

no politics here. I'm merely pointing out the hypocrisy and the arrogance of how humans pass judgement over animals, ie. which ones make good pets, which ones are good for the grill. You are an animal too. and no matter how funny this may sound, you don't have any more right to your life than the cow you had for dinner . both of you are animals brought here the same way. Your existence in the universe is no more significant than the cow from which the meat on your plate came from.

Really? And when vegetarianism exits the hallowed halls of yuppie West Side lofts into the mainstream world, including third-world countries, possibly I'll believe you. But as of now, hundreds of millions are starving, and they need meat, not political agenda.

Or any less right, too.

Other animals have tried, and are more than happy to, eat humans for a few million years now.

Lions, tigers, alligators, sharks, and any number of other animals would love to have you as a snack.

And they eat each other too, every day.

We're just better at it than they are. Rock on, humans!

What a crock! You should re-read what you just wrote. I'm not certain anyone eats based on judgment of their closeness with an animal.

If that were the case, because I'm closer in friendship to Nostatic than I am to you, there's the strong possibility I'd grill you up and eat you before I'd do the same to him.

I don't think you understood my statement.

are you a dog owner? would you slice its throat, chop it up and grill it? why not?
why don't you have a problem when they murder a cow 2,000 miles away that ends up on your plate?

I rest my case.

Is it wrong for a dog owner to give his dog a flea bath?

Is it wrong to fumigate your house for termites, rats or mice?

Is it wrong for you to be driving cars containing the hides of animals raised and killed by humans for their byproducts?

On-ramp, what you have written is stupid on so many levels, I don't even know how to begin.

You want to know why I eat meat? Vegetarians. I've never seen one that isn't pale, pasty, skinny, and weak. You people are just pleading for some protein. At least you aren't much of a riot threat when you protest. I wish I had seen this earlier, I would have had steak for dinner. Oh well, chicken burritos are good enough.
