Michael Vick

Michael Vick is a famous, but not very good Quarterback
for the Atlanta Falcons. Yesterday, he was indicted on many
related charges stemming from a dog-fighting operation that
took place at one of his many houses.

Here is a quote from ESPN article:

"Would Vick be sent to jail if he is convicted?

Yes. It's hard to imagine any other outcome. The charges are serious, and the evidence against Vick presented at trial will be nasty. The government's case includes evidence that Vick and his cohorts "tested" pit bulls for ferocity. If the dogs failed the test, the indictment charges, they were executed by hanging or drowning. In one case, with Vick present, the indictment says a dog was slammed to the ground until it was dead. In another incident, a dog was soaked with a hose, then electrocuted. Those aren't the sort of transgressions that lead to probation and community service. It's the kind of behavior that results in punishment, and the punishment will be jail time. "

Yech. What a low life.

Federal charges, no small deal. I hope they put him in the can for a long time, that's just sick.

"You can take the thug out of the ghetto, but you can't take the ghetto out of the thug". It's pathetic to me that these guys get paid millions to play a game that many people would play for free, then blow it all for some dumb ***** like this.

He is a piece of trash and represents what is wrong with professional sports these days. I hope he goes away for a long time.

It took me a second to realize the irony of my username, considering the conversation. Fortunately, mine originated with an email address used to annoy my wife shortly after we were married. Whipped, get it?*

If convicted, they should throw this shytbag to the dogs... literally.

Let some angry, hungry fighting dogs exact their pound(s) of flesh. Whatever's left of Ron Mexico the herpes carrier can rot in a cell for the duration of his sentence.

He and his little brother are a couple of **** ups. Many people call the NFL the No Fun League because of all the rules and regulations (uniforms, dress code ect) but Vick should be suspended by the league. I think it is a good thing that the new commish is cracking down hard on players who do anything that will reflect badly upon the NFL. I would not want my kid (if I had one) wearing a Vick, PacMan, or Johnson jersey. If convicted, hopefully he will do some sort of jail time but I doubt it.

If he does get convicted and goes to jail, it would be fitting that his cell mate be an extremely large man who just loves dogs

Emotionally disturbed individuals with a stunted sense of right and wrong in the NFL? Naaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhh. Say it ain't so.

Low class, abusive and highly upsetting. I truly hope the NFL responds in kind with federal charges. Michael Vick is a disgusting caricature of the end trails of American society.

A nice rabies injection into his spinal column, then a slow twitching death might be the perfect remedy.

Im more interested in Goodall's reaction now thats he's taken a no tolerance stance with others already. Will he do the same with someone of Vick star calibre?

Vick never lived up to the potential. Several coaches tried to build a system around his physical gifts, but nothing seemed to work.

It's been downhill for him ever since he had that amazing run a couple of years back. Now he's spreading herpes under the ridiculous Ron Mexico handle and killing dogs for sport.

Good luck Vick! Nice use of your talents!

The league wont miss him because there is another Mike Vick. Only he goes by the name of Vince Young.

So you have a problem with Vick killing dogs? Next time you have that juicy steak, you are supporting an industry that murders thousands of cows, chickens, lambs, and pigs.

It's not ethical to kill dogs but it's ok to kill other animals because they taste good, huh? humans pass a moral judgement over the lives of innocent animals.

what a bunch of hypocrits.

Yes.

(BTW, it is ethical to kill dogs, thousands of them are killed in pounds every day. Killing them for amusement in the course of a blood sport is viewed somewhat differently by most).

Oh, please. There's a difference between consuming meat for sustenance and killing dogs for sport.
