you are a liar, and therefore a murderer. how many creatures have gone to their untimely deaths on the windshield and grille of your car? how many earth dwellers were bulldozed like so much dirt in the creation of your home? how many innocent rodents were callously and utterly destroyed for the selfish act of keeping your elitist vegan produce warehouses free of disease and germs. and how many more must die before you finally realize the errors of your ways and help to cease this senseless slaughter of God's creature at once? you should hang your head in shame, you ruthless killer

I'm sorry, but I can't go on. I'm too distraught by these senseless and wanton acts of violence. I'm growing weak and need sustenance. I need...

a steak!

everything you need to survive grows out of the ground. fruits, vegetables, herbs, spices, etc...It's a miracle the way it works. Many diseases can be attributed to animal consumption.

If God didn't want us to eat animals, then why did he make them out of meat?

You've swallowed a lie, hook line and sinker.

In a statement the team apologized that one of its players was "being presented to the public in a negative way".

Great reply from the team, just what I'd expect from and NFL team that paid some POS $137mil to play football. How long did this idiot think he could keep this dogfighting scheme out of the public eye.

As for the vegy vs meat eater argument, it's a very long stretch from killing beef to eat vs torturing animals for fun. The argument only makes sense if one is a hypocrite.

Back to Vick, hope he's sent away for a long time and is barred from professional sports, like to see him on the streets as a homeless bum, he's nothing but a POS.

Ever stepped on an ant? It's a living thing. How about driving that Porsche around (leather interior?) smashing bugs on the windshield and running over frogs, etc.?

It's not ethical to kill dogs but it's ok to kill other animals because they taste good, huh? humans pass a moral judgement over the lives of innocent animals.

what a bunch of hypocrits.

Gorillas are super strong and only eat grass shoots and plants. Lions and tigers are strong and fast and eat nothing but meat. Cows are slow and stupid and eat nothing but grass.

I gotta believe genetics governs, at least in the animal kingdom.

I, for one, would much rather watch a good cat fight. Maybe with some mud for good measure.

Nike is still planning on releasing his signature shoe. I wonder how long it goes before the plug on that.

Late night comedians . . . on your marks!

Gotta admit, though I haven't read all 4 pages here? IMHO, anybody who encourages dogs to fight in a pit is a scumbag...and I don't give a damn how well he can throw a football....

IF he's guilty? Hooboy would I have a pit or two in mind for him to compete in...

Man, how did this thread COMPLETELY become a meat eater vs. vegan thing?

Oh and by the way boys, Vick ain't getting a shot in the spinal column, not going into a pit with a dog/dogs, Not going to be drawn and quartered, tortured, etc....and you all know it. I kind of wonder if he'll even be convicted of anything. How ironic will it be if he gets convicted and sententced to hard time but O.J. (we VIRTUALLY all think) cut the throats of two peolple and plays golf for a decade?

Anyway, I hope this doesn't drag out for two years before its tried...but we all know it will.

Man, let's just get this guy in a courtroom and prosecute the case. It ain't about race (though that will undoubtedly be raised)

Also, vegan is not a function of class. I don't know why you would like to make a connection. You can be poor, rich, white, black , asian or hispanic. Living a vegan lifestyle actually costs less money than eating meat. Have you seen the price of meat lately??

In this country, it absolutely is a function of social class. BTW: where do you live other than "out there"? I ask because "out here" the only vegans I see are uptight elitists in Whole Foods market or Trader Joe's that look all the part of refugees from Auschwitz.

Secondly, here in L.A., vegans usually comprise upper middle class Caucasians, pretty much split between male/female, and, as I have seen, never any other ethnicity. Lastly, someone once told me the fastest way to piss off a day laborer who physically works and burns calories in something more than a jaunt on the treadmill, is to give him a salad for lunch. He wants his gut filled, and preferably with beef. But a vegan would need to intermix with a working class day laborer to figure that fact out, though I just don't think they have the...er...stomach to convince a hungry day laborer about the values of being a vegetarian.

So there is your second challenge in defense of your vegan diet: prove to me in this country that it is not a phenomenon based mostly on elitism, race and for the hell of it, trend. Obviously you haven't yet found me a bicycle racer who while relying on lightness and strength for his sport, also maintains a non-animal diet.

Actually, that is incorrect. Gorillas have been found to be omnivores. Yes, they do occasionally eat meat, including insects. The same with chimpanzees and other apes. Sometimes these apes even eat each other.

Even if by some miracle, Michael Vick doesnt get convicted and
sentenced to prison time ( such as a plea bargin or the ghost of
Johnny Cochran appearing to join his defense team) .....
it seems that Vick is a known mental-midget and has always
let the pressures get to him in game situations. My guess is that the
pressure that he will feel from the fans in the stands, as well as the
media and various organizations....will cause his awful 52% completion
percentage to drop even further to perhaps %47 or so...

thereby rendering him to his couch to spend his days smoking spliffs
with his crew, playing Xbox, knocking up ladies and giving them
diseases... such would be a satisfying life for someone of his
character.

Oooooh, can you imagine? That would take sports heckling to a higher order. Fans throwing stuffed dogs, collars, etc. Do you think the stadium would still play "Who Let the Dogs Out"?;)

As for vegans, I've never met one that wasn't a self-rightous little SOB. I still want to know, if it's so healthy, why do you all look like just one carrot away from death? Pull your head out, and stop buying the BS your little vegan culture is feeding you. God made us to eat meat, pure and simple. Go have a nice big steak, you'll thank me later.

Great opportunity to get stuffed animals for the homeless kids and collars for the local ASPCA. I think it's great idea, probably elevate the caliber of the spectators. We could schedule cock fights at halftime, set up betting windows, whole thing has tremendous potential.
