Alternative to the Speed Channel

It looks like the creator of Speedvision/Speed Channel is working on a networks sans Nascar. Go to the website and voice your opinion.

You beat me to it, i was about to start a thread here in off topic about this. It would be nice to once again have an alternative to speed/nascar tv. Maybe i can start watching the rolex seris, alms, and wrc again and live.

Man you are SOOOOOO right on with this one. I mean could they actually whore it out any more? I mean EVERY show including the bike shows are just one d*mn 1/2 hour info-mercial punctuated with the 30 sec actual commercials

I voted too, thanks for the link. In the mean time there is a great torrent site http://www.racing-underground.com/ . Most races are available a few hours after they air and pretty much every televised race (from around the world) is available on the site.

I agree. Most of SpeedVision programming begins at the lowest common denominator, then goes downhill from there.

There's gotta be some way of producing these shows without blatantly pushing product on the audience. I'm talking about what goes around the real ads. Maybe they need a different type of sponsor?

Does that new racing channel want instant audience? Just find sponsorship to show the British show, Top Gear, then fill the rest of the programming schedule with F1, WRC and other like racing coverage. Maybe team up with Versus who broadcasts the Tour De France and other cycling events. I'm sure they need more numbers to expand.
