I just came back from the Far East and I must say that Japanese women are extremely beautiful. My buddy married one and to quote his post (with my making fun of his situation) regarding his experience:

I reckon that was just as good an explanation as any. The stereotype of asian women is that they are submissive, but from all that I've seen (I've lived in Japan and travelled most of asia) they are the supreme rulers in the relationship, and that was what my wife expected...

Anyway, when (if) you meet her, she will seem really cute and sweet...its all a trick...

I know a guy that I used to work with ordered a Russian bride. That's back 10 years or so... he was showing everyone the catalog !! The guy was a total freak, disturbing on so many levels that I did feel sorry for the poor woman, but anyway, one day he shows up with a tasty new bride... Good looking actually, maybe a tad on the prostitute side class wise, but good looking... Fast forward 4 years or so, she got her citizenship, divorced the creep and took him for ALL he was worth. Kinda funny in hindsight...

If you get a mail order bride, I think a pre-nup is a must. I also believe Green Cards are conditional on the marriage being entered by both parties with no intentions of fraud. So, if a woman were to leave a guy as soon as she got her Green Card, he would be able to file some kind of complaint and she could have it yanked.

She deserved that green card, I think - you have to know the guy ;-) And you should know by now prenups are not worth the paper they are written on. I don't care how good they supposedly are, very few of them hold up in court in the real world...

You can't shove a pre-nup in front of your bride on the way to the courthouse ceremony. But if both parties agree to it well in advance of the wedding and there's no shenanigans involved, I think they are pretty solid in most states. And I don't think any number of years entitles one party to half of the other's assets, when the foreigner usually enters the marriage just about penniless.

anyone who knows the culture knows that in general asian women rule the roost. Some might appear submissive on the outside, but more likely you'll get your balls cracked. I like strong women so that works fine for me. But I think a lot of guys have the totally wrong idea about the dynamic.

If you're in the right city there are plenty of FOTB women, but that is a tough row to hoe. I've dated a couple of women who did either undergrad or grad school here after coming over and even that has some language and cultural issues. Really depends on how much time and effort you want to put into things. I'm willing to learn the language and the culture. But if you want an American, then you need to find an American. Plenty of them around as well, ABCs, etc. A friend of mine is 4th generation and I was more Asian than she was.

I guy I know also had the experience of importing a Russian wife. Quite attractive. She divorced him as soon as she got her green card, and took him for all she could which was substantial. He smiles about it. Says it was still cheaper than renting a hooker each week. He says the sex was worth it.

I've had the exact same experience. Concur totally. You've never seen ball busting or a scorned woman catching fire until you've been with a real Asian woman who's been pushed just a little too far. But since such situations are rare, I generally find Asian women to be a little easier going and far more feminine than American women.

I had some friends guide me around China and they were young Chinese women. Looking like I do, I was a ripe target for getting cheated in just about anything that involved money. You should have seen my guide friends chew out those who thought I was alone and could be robbed. A few times I really thought the cops were gonna have to come to pull her away from them. My fiance gets into it once in a while when trying to return something she bought from a Chinese store and the cops did have to get involved once. I really like one of these stores, so I caution her to take it easy on them not get us banned. There is no fiercer defender of one's honor or man than a Chinese woman.

yeah, you gotta love it. Really quite amazing. It was funny because a Chinese woman who I dated and am still friends with (she wants to have kids...that ended the romance part, at least long-term prospects) is over in China right now and was asking if I wanted her to find a nice girl while she was over there.

Well, there use to be a member at my club who imported Russian ladies and had a very hot one for himself(1/3 his age), there was even a write up in the paper on his business. A few of the guys imported some. All were very hot, but I haven't seen any of those guys (or the chicks) in many years so I don't know how any of those turned out I have another friend friend who says he met while back packing in the Ukraine They are still married and both seem very happy. As for Asian women, just go to a millitary town, there are always plenty of them around One of our entertainers spent 3 months last year touring in Japan, boy does he have some great stories & pix

From one that has seen his share of "purchased" wives from Russia, Ukraine, Czech, Poland and any other Easter Bloc country, have them get a Dental exam or do it yourself before things get serious. I've had men bring wives back to the states and then bring them to me for their first real exam in their lives and I have to let them know they need $10-20,000 in Dental work. I'm not sure if anyone finds a 25 yo sexy Russian with dentures attractive. Maybe some do?
