Tivoli Audio: Anyone Else Have One?
I was looking for a small am/fm radio for my desk that sounded good and had good reception. I bought the Tivoli Audio Model One and am just stunned at how good it sounds with just a single speaker. Also has unbelievably good reception and just looks cool. Price is right too.

Great little unit from the mind of Henry Kloss (AR, KLH, Advent, Cambridge Sound Works)...What a great guy. I sold tons of his equipment back in the 70's. Still love the tuner on my old Advent 300 (makes a great little preamp for a low-buck system as well). They have "extension speakers", "subs" and CD changers as well for that series in the same size enclosure. Cool products.

Kloss also had some neat "fringe products" for the time as well. The Kloss "Novabeam" projection TV, the Advent "Soundspace delay", etc. He was a neat guy, an old ham radio/tube guy.

I've actually wanted to get one for awhile but never got around to it. The reception blew away the similar Boston Acoustics when I tested 'em in the store with the same antenna.

Joe, Target now carries them. They have them all from the Model One that I bought up to a system with a tuner/cd and 2 speaker boxes. And the prices are right also. The Model One is $119.00.
