A list for car nuts !!!!
I got my first car at 15 and I can assure you that I am a car nut. I even like the ugly ones. I thought it would be fun to list all the cars I have owned and to allow you to do the same. I must say my list is extensive, and no I have not owned a used car operation/dealership. I am close to 40yrs old now and just have the car bug........:D

|
Sweet jeebsus. That's a long, if slightly unimpressive :p list. Mine's almost embarrassingly shorter:
1975 Mercedes-Benz 280 1995 Nissan 200SX SE-R 2005 Acura TL 1987 930 |
Hey noah, was your 280 the 2dr coupe model? Man I thought those looked awesome for an old Benz.... I think the one I am thinking of is the 280se but I am not sure.... Used to see one all the time when I was in boot camp, I think it was like a 71 or 73 model very nice......

That's an interesting list. It nicely tracks the beginning of your affliction and also shows how you gradually came to your senses. |

Funny thing. I consider myself a car guy too. The only car I didn't buy was the Celica my wife owned when we got married. There's almost 70 years of combined driving on that short list. We got our monies worth out of each one.
1964 Ford Galaxie 1976 Kawasaki 450 1970 Ford Mustang Mach1 1975 Toyota Celica GT 1980 Ford Bronco 1988 Ford Thunderbird Turbo Coupe 1992 Plymouth Grand Voyager work wagon 1986 Buick Grand National (still in use) 2001 Ford Ranger XLT work truck (still in use) 1981 Porsche 911 ROW 1999 BMW 328i (still in use) |
I thought it would be fun to start this post, but it is really interesting to see how each of our purchasing habits (types of cars) seem to be somewhat similar.....
|
My goodness, some of you guys change cars more than you change underwear...;)
Comparatively, mine is a short list, and I've been driving 23 years now. These do not include my wife's cars. 1976 MG Midget 1974 VW Super Beetle 1987 VW Golf (owned 14 years) 1958 VW Beetle 1968 VW Beetle 1971 VW Beetle 1996 Ford Ranger 2000 VW GTI 1.8T 1999 Audi A4 Avant 1992 Mazda Miata (Marine Blue) 1992 Mazda Miata (Black and Tan) 1984 Porsche Carrera |
I've only been driving for 10 years, but here's my list, from first-owned to current (not counting my parents' cars when I lived at home):
1987 Jeep Cherokee (loved it) 1996 Jeep Grand Cherokee (didn't love it) 1986 Ford Crown Victoria police package (hated it) 1983 Porsche 944 (loved it) 1994 Ford Taurus (liked it only because it was my grandfather's car) 1996 Oldsmobile Cutlass (GOD I hated it) 1986 Porsche 951 (adore it) current 1989 Volvo 740GLE (I will probably like it once I get it on the road ;) ) current |
It wil be interesting to think about this.
1975 toyota corolla coupe 77 rabbit 80 scirocco 82 rx 7 72 fj 40 75 bronco 66 fj40 91 accura (first new car, after college) 74 toyota p/u (back to construction) 93 toyota p/u 95 f-150 97 ram 2500 v-10 76 fj40 2000 f-250 v-10 00 landcruiser 83 targa 95 993 69 911t 72911s 05 duramax After all these cars and trucks, I know I like diesel trucks and early s's. |
