It's already gone too far, but how do you propose to stop it? I mean..really...not like calling up the director of the FBI, or calling up Bush and talking it out over a game of Golf is likely to work.

2 Rational thought would be considering all possiblities, and including some elements of each in making a temporary judgement based upon known information. Bush had close ties with and smuggled the "terrorists" associates and family out of the country, left the escape route open to Pakistan, and much evidence suggests the WTC buildings fell in a manner very similar to the demolition process. The results and strategy behind those actions(for better or worse) are an entirely different thread, but which catagory do you feel best discribes your views? |

Funny pictures, but the current trend in the degradation of democractic values is very real, and not so funny.
With anything, you're either part of the problem or part of the solution. |
The human mind is an amazing thing. It is capable of creating incredible ideas and concepts through imagination. Unfortunately it often has trouble differentiating what is imagined and what it real.
So, you think bush is the mastermind of the 9/11 attacks. It makes me shudder that there are people walking around that are capable of believing such nonsense. I can't help but wonder what makes you reach out and embrace such a concept. What deep seated need do you have, what psychosis drives you to such a thing? Maybe it was the experiments the aliens conducted when they abducted you. Our government's first priority is to protect it's citizens from threats foreign and domestic. Law abiding citizens deserve that protection. People in this country who do not follow the laws, who do not live by the law are a threat to those who do and deserve to be caught and punished. Sorry if that makes you nervous. Maybe you should check to make sure you are on the right side since the law abiding citizens are nowhere near as worried as the criminals. They don't really have a problem with surveillance, they just don't want to get caught. |
Sort of painting with a pretty broad brush there, yes? If I read the last sentences of your post correctly, Sammy, then anyone who is worried about rampant, unchecked, unauthorized surveillance of Americans must be a criminal?
Not too sure I can agree with you on that one. |

You repeat that mantra often. If you have done nothing wrong/are doing nothing wrong then you have nothing to worry about. You are so naive. I once had an encounter with the law where I was accussed of doing something that I did not do. Small town private police force with a reputation for generating revenue through questionable tactics. My attorney, a HS friend of mine, worked as an ADA for that township and readily admitted that many cases similar to mine that he had prosecuted were probably manufactured. As he put it, "they fill the paperwork out in advance and fill in names later" At the end of the day it was my word against the cops and since there were no other witnesses I was going to lose. Copping a plea was really my only alternative. I had to admit guilt to something that I was not guilty of to avoid spending a week in jail. If you don't think that abuse of power exists or happens every day then you are living a fantasy. |
