Any you thought NSA wiretapping was bad...Read this.

Well with everyone complaining about the NSA wiretaps a few months back, I feel kind of obligated to share this. Isn't it great how as citizens, we can't do **** about it?

PPOT Brain Trust..are we getting less and less Free, or am I just paranoid?

Porsche-O-Phile 08-29-2007 06:17 AM

Not to worry, I'm sure some of the usual Hitler Youth will be along shortly to tell us how "if you have nothing to hide, you have nothing to fear".

Great motto for a "free"country, isn't it?

First merchandise gets implanted RFID's, then farm animals, then convicts, then all newborns.

Exploding collars are now available in an assortment of styles. Look for the sleek new Air-Nikes at Christmas time, avaolable at all local retailers.

sammyg2 08-29-2007 06:30 AM

No, I didn't think the wiretapping was bad. Yes, you are paranoid.
Sounds like Porsche-o-phile thinks free means being able to do illegal stuff and not get caught. it doesn't. You wanna do the name calling thing, I ask what are you doing that you don't want them to know about?

There are lots of countries on this planet. Feel free to pick a better one ito live in if you think you can.

onewhippedpuppy 08-29-2007 06:30 AM

Not shocking. It sounds as if the actual wiretaps still require a court order, fortunately.

john70t 08-29-2007 06:37 AM

Not under the Domestic Terrorism Act. That title can be viewed several ways.

Safety and liberty are not compatible ideologies, and personal freedom is an antiquated concept that is no longer relevant in a modern world. Who are you to complain about a loss of personal liberty when the result is the safety and security of our country, our citizens, and our future?

Just to add, ALL email goes through their intercept computers before it reaches it's destination.

Just throw together a slang email like " that ***** was the BOMB, man what a KILLer bod, and BADass BUSH" and someone will be knocking at your door...

cashflyer 08-29-2007 01:53 PM

If all my email goes through their system, they should do something to stop all these damn advertisements for penis power pills.

With all those secret funds they've gotten, at least they could buy faster computers. The Pelican site is now as slow as sludge.

What? Staged attack, followed by a power coup suspending all checks-and-balances, and unlimited corporate cronyizm funding, and a dissenting group to harass.

Nope, not anywhere close.

Moneyguy1 08-30-2007 07:59 AM

As far as our current society is concerned, ask yourself this question:

What is the difference between ignorance and apathy?

I don't know and I don't care.

WOW I can't believe I read this coming from an American. In my opinion this is far more dangerous thinking than fighting for your rights & freedom.

cashflyer 08-30-2007 09:31 AM

Bob... I think you overlooked the last line of my post.
Personally, I think our government has been too far over the line for far too long.

futuresoptions 08-30-2007 09:52 AM

How far is too far? How far along do we let things get before we stand up? Illegal imigration as an example we took too long to stand up on that issue and look where we are with that situation..... How far do we let things go.......
