Bought Someting I've Always Wanted..
After months of 'passive searching' for a real (and affordable) lift I found this:
http://toronto.craigslist.org/tls/404166362.html I think my garage has to be considered complete now. I can die happy. Picking it up Saturday. |

I figure at $5 per use I'll get my money back.
And I still need to make a 'high-rise' oil collector like the ones they use in a garage. |

Neat stuff. How high will it lift? How do you set it up?
We have a finished loft above my garage, so the 7' ceiling precludes having a decent lift.

At $5 per use you might be seeing a lot of the underside of my car
![]() I can only think of how much easier so many of the jobs I've done would've been with a hoist. Speedo cable replacement comes very quickly to mind. Hmm, muffler replacement... It's a long list!
