Me! Me! Me!

I've enjoyed these games for years and still own quite a lot of them. Long time favourites (in no particular order) are:

- Third Reich
- Civilization + Adv. Civilization
- History of the World
- Candidate
- Kremlin
- Republic of Rome
- Kingmaker
- ... really too many to number here

Not an AH game but I must add World in Flames to the list as probably the best board wargame I've ever played.

I must confess that since my friends I got married I get to play less since it is increasingly difficult to schedule a day.

I always loved Third Reich, Panzer Leader, Arab-Israeli Wars.

Yep, same issues, never had anyone to play them with.

Now I'm working on reloading an old system to run Windows '95 so I can load the digital versions of Third Reich, Stalingrad, and a naval game I have to find.

How bout the Simulations Publications Inc games....

I still have a bunch of those games ( AH & SPI) tucked away in a box.

I have the following Grand Tactical Games

1. Waterloo by SPI
2. Watch Am Rhine (Battle of the Bulge) by SPI
3. Terrible Swift Sword (Gettysburg) by SPI
4. Bloody April (Shiloh) by SPI
5. Russia at War 1941-1945 (SPI)
6. Longest Day (D-Day) by AH

Each of these are hugh games with rather complex rules. I also have Anzio (Italian Campaign), Panzer Blitz, USN (WW2 Campaign game of the War in the Pacific), one on a hypothecitcal war i Europe in the 70s called NATO by AH. and one game by another company about the Russo - German advance on Moscow in the fall of 1941.

I have been thinking about selling most of these games on E-bay as of late. I havn't had them outa that box in 20 years.

Anyway a coupla good board games that are on the computer are published by.....

Just having very little luck getting the old games to run. It does not help that AH is LONG out of business and I could not find support pages on the net. I did find stuff for Commodore 64... Yep, got one of those with a bunch of programs.

Regarding computer wargames, I've always loved games from Strategic Simulations Inc (SSI) such as "V for Victory", "Clash of Steel" and "PAnzer General". You can still find them as abandonware in http://www.the-underdogs.info/

As I kid I loved "Arnhem" for the Spectrum platform. Never a game so simple has kept me so many nights awake.
