I'll take that as a NO!

in a ''normal year '' USC plays a few non-conference teams of note like ND
granted this year they SUCK

So do all but 1 or 2 of the in conference games!

and
Idaho a no hoper
Nebraska a good team year in year out top team
so thats 2 out of 3 real games

fla plays 3 out of 4 no hope teams and only fla state is a good game
LSU plays 3 out of 4 no hope teams too

granted SEC is tuff but its outside games SUCK
and they duck too many team inside the SEC too
like no Alabama vs Fla or LSU vs Ga game

I think I understand. SEC teams should play every tough team inside the conference & only top 10 teams outside the conference. That way USC can tiptoe through that limp wristed west coast schedule & be Nat Champs every year. Great plan!

Those are east vs. west games. Thats why there is a Conference Championship game in the SEC. I guess USC-UCLA is almost like a conference championship game ;)

NOTA CLUE, If Ga wins the East, they will play LSU.:p

onewhippedpuppy, UT plays KSU the week before they play OU. Should be a good game since it's a home game for Texas. As for Arkansas not handling Bama, that was an exciting fourth quarter. Bama scores a TD with 8 seconds left to win it. They aren't the best teams in the SEC (Bama or Ark) but both could be spoilers for LSU. The conference is so competitive. Take a look at what happened to Louisville, they were ranked in the top ten, and weren't the best team in their own state. In case you didn't know, UK is considered a weak link in SEC football.

I think I understand, some people just protest too much. Like the anti gay Senator from Idaho, it turns out he may be gay.

Did you try to go to USC and not get in, is that your problem?
Are you really a closet USC fan?
Do you slip secret notes to the people you work with about what a great team USC has, how well they are coached and how deep the talent runs this year, how this may be the best team Pete Carroll has had, how Booty may very well get the Heisman. Go ahead, come on out of the closet, it will be good for you.

Y'all have fun now, Y'heah.

Mule 09-21-2007 11:46 AM

By the way there Karnak, you do know that Booty is at USC 'cause he didn't know if he could start at LSU, hmmm?

Looks like there really is a God and he was looking out for him.

Mule 09-21-2007 12:00 PM

We agree. He still might not be starting at LSU.

PS The best player in college football right now is Darren Mc Fadden at Ark. He plays running back, quarterback, wide receiver & fields kicks. He is awesome at every position.

Mule, I love your enthusiasm for LSU football, but that is absolutely not true. JD Booty is the real deal. John David Booty is not at LSU because after his two brothers tenure there, the family swore that no Booty would ever attend LSU again. It had nothing to do with him starting there. Good riddance, IMO, but that doesn't change the fact that he is a good quarterback. Geaux Tigers!

Red Baron 09-21-2007 01:33 PM

That Prima Donna Biotch is exactly where he belongs.

Mule 09-21-2007 02:34 PM

Just now on NFL network they were talking about the fact that USC's points are all on the ground & "is the passing game OK."

all they ever play is overrated teams and never have to perform, why pass when you can run so well.

Mule 09-21-2007 02:51 PM

You're coming around.

Red Baron 09-21-2007 03:23 PM

I'll go out on a limb, and say that Reggie Bush would have never won the Heisman had he played in the SEC.

Discuss...

mattdavis11 09-21-2007 05:43 PM

That's probably true.

Matt, I stand corrected. I was thinking UT played OU earlier than they really do. Should be a great game, as I don't UT is as good as they are ranked. Unfortunately, after KSU upset them in Manhattan last year, they will be out for revenge. Maybe they'll be too focused on OU.:)

With Bama coming back, and Kentucky looking pretty good, the SEC is very strong. Even most of the unranked teams are still quite dangerous, such as Auburn and Arkansas. The Big 12 is quite similar, but the overall level of talent isn't as high. Sure makes for an exciting season!

onewhippedpuppy 09-21-2007 07:44 PM

BTW USC fan, I'm still waiting for proof of USC graduating 100% of their football players, all of them majoring in engineering or finance.

They probably at least graduated with skills in reading comprehension.

Backtrack much? You insinuated that USC holds it's football players to a higher standard, but are yet to produce any evidence to that effect. My guess is you are absolutely full of it.

Good attempt at avoiding the issue by insulting those who question you, have you considered a career in politics?

Mule 09-22-2007 05:46 AM

And non of us can read. That's the problem. Now if we'd played football at USC, we'd have the kind of reading skills necessary to follow a forward thinker like Bey.

From ESPN

Among The Associated Press' Top 25 football teams, five schools met or exceeded the national average with Notre Dame leading the way at 95 percent. The others were Nebraska at 88 percent, Florida at 80 percent, TCU at 78 percent and Clemson at 77. The NCAA's figure for Florida nearly doubled the 42 percent rate from the federal report.

Top-ranked Ohio State and Southern California, the 2004 national champion, both came in at 55 percent.

Three of the Top 25 schools had graduation rates below 50 percent. They were Texas (40 percent), Georgia (41) and California (44).

I'm sorry Bey. I hope this doesn't ruin your morning. At least USC can still claim to have the most famous double murderer in US history.SmileWavy

An personally, I love the skirts.:p
