Speaking of spiders

On Friday I spotted this hideous spider with hundreds of babies on board at the track.

It's about as big around as a half dollar.

What is it?!?

I was strapping the rear wheels before going home. It was just inches from me!

That my friend is a Wolf Spider. We have loads of them around these parts. In fact, that is the very kind my wife squished with a bear foot and picked it up and put it down the sink!

They are harmless but they do deliver a heck of a bite.

Ok, I will be the wiseguy.....

So how did she find a bear willing to loan her his foot. I ould be more frightened of the bear than I was of the spider!

Where did your wife get a bear foot? I know I wouldn't believe she used her own bare foot.

Bear foot or Bear Claw?

I wouldn't waste a perfectly good bear claw to smash a spider...

We have a bunch of comics in here...

Personally, I think spiders are pretty interesting creatures...I just don't want to touch one. I'll look at them closeup all day long though.

I know it rains a bit too much where I live, but every time I see one of these post about spiders or snakes or snakes that swim in the lake, I realize I live in the best place in the world.....

You have to go looking for wildlife trouble up here. I have come across the odd black bear while hiking or playing golf, but as long as I never end up face to face with a cougar.....

I just don't like little things that can bite or kill you. ( I lived in Africa and that was enough for me)

Cheers
