At a gourmet restaurant I used to cook at in the 80's, we made them with goat cheese and sundried tomatoes served with sliced baguettes and endive.
I like the lamb idea. Brown rice, too? KT

Rice, minced lamb,, minced garlic, oregano, dash of allspice, salt and pepper - a few drops of olive oil.
That's the real deal - as it was taught to me when I lived on Crete.

I love stuffed grape leaves, but I can sit at a little Mediterranean place around here and fill up on Feta, olives, and humus with pita bread for dipping.
