I guess for me the problem with your poll is the assumption that I believe in a God. I don't, so I can't vote. **** happens.

It may have started as an act of Gawd, but the resulting damage is the result of another example of idiot policy started at some point in time and continued by idiots. Like new math and other idiot ideas.
The fact that total fire suppression causes the buildup of fuel has been known for decades. We knew that as flunkies on the fire line when I worked for the National Park Service in the late '60s. We even did puny controlled burns to try to eliminate the buildup of duff around the Sequoia redwoods. Their purpose was two fold. One, they eliminated fuel on the forest floor that would burn hot enough to penetrate the bark of the trees; and two, somebody finally figured out fires were a natural part of the forest ecology that cleared away the duff down to mineral soil which allowed the seeds to germinate. After somebody figured that out, it explained why no new redwoods (except in certain areas) were appearing.
This is the same thing, and we are paying the price for stupid policies that have gone on for so many years. Just like we are & will suffer the results of other stupid policies.

Easy pick, SoCal. And Legion, it will be fixed with Federal money. The dirtbag vote farming politicians get wood thinking about all those votes.

I think the mental outlook in California is a lot different than LA, and I don't think the Federal money will play that big a part, most of these homes are high end homes, they all have insurance. They might get the low interest loans to rebuild, but unlike some places, I believe this will be handled in a couple years. I haven't even heard of looting or rapes, killings or muggings here. I doubt if any of these people were on welfare or even out of work. They will rebuild.

Life is a B!tch...All those people whose houses burned down are gona get nice new homes with all the latest conceiviable upgrades possible and all new furniture and appliances...Now if your home remained intact all your gona have is the shabbiest house on the block with the lowest appraised value.

Was watchin the "bad" news this morning and they advised that police may have shot and killed a suspect involved with starting some of these fires. They also mentioned that muslim terrorist could be involved because of previous traffic that advised of such attacks. Tabs, gonna have to add one more option, "Allah cleaning house through setting of fires".

You must have been watching Fox Noise. The terrorist threat was 4+ years old and it was focused on other states. I try not to read or watch anything that's controlled by Rupert Murdoch. It's one step above the National Enquirer.

You would be correct, however, I get all of my important news from the National Enquirer.... It takes alot of guts to report the things that they do and no one else will do it.... they are truly pioneers in their field...

Interesting. Do the have TV in your area? It seems like ALL might be a little presumptuous.

A little different situation. As bad as you might consider this to be, it's small in comparison to Katrina. But I bet the real reason is that Californians are just inherently superior right? At least by looking at it that way, you are superior to someone in some way.

Your ignorance knows no depths. There are fine neighborhoods that used to be full of fine people in NO (though not Californians), that had insurance that still cant rebuild due to government issues. If you breach the Nevada border , you;ll find that the rest of the country does not live in a ghetto, on welfare, dependent on you.

Do you even know what you are talking about? More moonshine?

I don't think so, if you are buying a home or own a home in a fire prone area, you have fire insurance. Not a big stretch for most people to think about. Maybe a little tough for you. sorry.

It looks like you may be right about you anyway.

Glad to hear that, when you get a chance, check a map, California is also bordered by Mexico, Arizona, and Oregon. And, you still have that reading comprehension issue.
