Yes but why? Norton is a big memory hog and if its there it loads up when you boot, and slows everything down. If you are not using it (and there are better programs out there) then uninstall it and get with a good AV program.

Nod 32, try it for free. I've been reloading the free version for years now

I am not sure anyone has mentioned this: do any of these other programs have a firewall?

I downloaded CA from roadrunner for free and had nothing but problems with IE, I downloaded Mozilla and it didn't work very well either. I did a restore point and redownloaded McAfee and paid $69.99 and it works just fine. Its what came with my Vista Home Premium edition with a 90 trial. It solved my problems and it was worth the $ just to be done with the effing around.

I like Avast! but AVG is good also.
I had Norton (2 paid licenses) but it slowed down my machine so I switched to AVG.
I almost bought AVG but theeir deceptive web order form pissed me off so I looked elsewhere. (When you order AVG they add a "backup CD" to your shopping cart for ~$11. Now they at least let you remove it from your cart but when I was tring to order they wouldn't let you.)

Mike, you're not listening. The Trend stuff is what slowed me to a crawl. I'm pretty sure of that. I took the others advice and dumped it. It took me several efforts to rid the system of that and McAfee.

Mine was dated 2007. You got newer than that?
