hmm, I have the boy otherwise I'd be in for sure. Not sure that mom is ready for him to hit the range yet but I'll broach the subject. I'm sure there would be a .22 I could rent for him.

He turned 11 today. There are some issues that I'm willing to push on, but this isn't one. She knows I have guns in the house but trusts that I keep them safe. Her idea of he and I spending "quality" time is more along the lines of golf, basketball, surfing, etc. As for "shooting" she'd prefer it be movies rather than guns. But we'll see...

Yeah, shooting is a particularly tough one. Pretty emotional issue, especially for folks who don't do it. My wife never did have trouble with me and the boys choosing what activities meant "quality time" for us. She still doesn't. I know how lucky I am in that regard. Too many buddies have wives that deign to choose acceptable activities for their hubby and kids' quality time. It's a shame; causes a lot of strife. Good luck with this one. I'm rooting for you and your son.

Range Day. Is that code for when the boys gather all by them lonesome at an isolated range, doing what to whom, or are there any domesticated live stock involved ? Hey! Don´t shoot me! I am just curious.

I may take out the 10/22 and 93R in your honor that day. I've been hitting the indoor range with the G17 and Mark II recently, they need a break.

I brought 4 pistols, A Keltec 380ACP (P3AT) A Browing HP 9mm A Keltec 9mm/40SW/357sig (P40/P11) A Springfield 1911 45 ACP Also, someone suggest a place to pickup ammo, cheaper than the range. I decided against carrying 2 boxes of ammo for each!

Well, no one has posted and an opportunity has come up to do a Utah and Florida CCW class. If anyone wants to join me for a private class, or for some range time before or after, I'll be at the American Shooting Center, on Ruffin Road in San Diego (Kearny Mesa) from 2-6 PM. Again, any want to join me from 2-6, you end the day with a Utah and Florida CCW!

This sounds like so much fun... but I am cursed with working Saturdays. For ammo you might try: Kearny Mesa Turner's Outdoorsman 8199 Clairemont Mesa Kearny Mesa, Ca 92111 858-278-8005 Store Hours: Monday - Wednesday: 10a.m. - 7p.m. Thursday - Friday: 10a.m. - 8p.m. Saturday & Sunday: 10a.m. - 6p.m I will be visiting my GF in Encinitas Sunday but after making the two hour drive to "visit" her I expect to spend most of the day horizontal. Too bad, I would have loved a chance to hang with the legendary Red Beard!
