Captain Kidd shipwreck found?
How in the world was this overlooked for so long?
"It is remarkable that the wreck has remained undiscovered all these years given its location, just 70 feet off the coast of Catalina Island in the Dominican Republic in less than 10 feet of seawater." http://news.yahoo.com/s/livescience/20071213/sc_livescience/captainkiddshipfound

Cool, overlooked because there was no booty maybe. Maybe everyone that saw it figured that it must not be important or must have been searched already since it was so visible. It would have been cool if there was still treasure, but then it would've been looted, and the site would be nearly worthless.
