Mitt wept when church ended discrimination!

“I can remember when I heard about the change being made. I was driving home from — I think it was law school, but I was driving home — going through the Fresh Pond rotary in Cambridge, Massachusetts. I heard it on the radio and I pulled over and literally wept. “Even to this day, it’s emotional,” Romney went on... Sorry for the swipe, but I woke up and saw this on Drudge Report and litterally laughed! what BS!

I went down to the rotary (live 5 minutes away) and stood at the very spot he pulled over. I wept as well. or was that sleet? I was for this man a few months ago based on his business acumen alone. been disappointed ever since.

Romney is a douche. That's the guy you like right Shaun? And you think Thompson is manufactured?

the difference is that Romney re-manufactured himself. Thompson is a product of a marketing committee, more of a ragdoll than anything else. As I said back then, I also like the Huckabee fellow, but his denial of Evolution is a non-starter. Pretty slim pickings.

How about his '98 article where he says that Jesus is the answer to our problems?

I'm already preparing myself for the inevitable, choosing the lesser of two evils come election time. Which evil is lesser i'm not sure of yet, because it will depend on who gets the nomination on both sides.

What's wrong with McCain? Very pro military, took huge hits for promoting the surge. Now that that the surge is working maybe it's time to take a second look at him

In the context of political leadership in the U.S....not so much. put In God We Trust on money, insert "under God" in The Pledge, heck, hang the 10 Commandments on the wall in government buildings, I don't care. But don't tell me Jesus is the answer to our problems.

Romney - yeah a great business man - like all snake oil salesmen. Make a good Sec. of Commerce. Guiliani is good in a crisis but a kook. Ask'em about him in NYC. - Start with the Firefighters. Sec of Defence maybe. I am starting to like McCain more and more. Don't always agree with him , but I trust his motives. Olympia Snowe for VP.

Like I said, and I don't think I could be any more clear. Political leaders turning to Jesus for answers works great in a Christian theocracy. For the U.S., not so much. here's an example: George Bush said that Jesus told him to invade Iraq. Understand now?

No he didn't and you know better. That's the claim of someone that translated a translation in the middle east. It's complete BS and in no way fits with any past comments. Even MoveOn knows that's bull.

I didn't say that political leaders turning to Jesus works well in the U.S. But I didn't realize that a Christian who lived in a Christian theocracy would look to Jesus for answers, but then "turn it off" and not look to Jesus in the U.S. That wasn't my understanding of how Christianity worked, I always thought it was more universal (principals don't change depending on the political environment). Either Jesus gives guidance and answers to tough questions to his followers, or he doesn't. | ||

I'll never forgive McCain for his campaign finance reform law or support for amnesty for illegals. I'm bothered by Huckabee being a Jesus nut too. But I don't see how his belief in evolution is any more far out than Hillary's or Obama's belief in communism.

I agree Wayne, the guy has always held the same views and those views resonate. Regarding Shaun thinking he's manufactured by committee...whose committee? There is almost zero institutional support, itjust doesn't hold water or frankly even make sense.
