Merry Christmas, have 14 relatives and friends coming tonight for Christmas dinner around 5PM, house is a mess from the dogs opening their presents, family's all together, healthy, happy and warm roof over our heads. I could ask for more but it would be selfish, Best wishes to all for a healthy and prosperous 2008. That's my only wish!

and.....

Wish all our troops (wherever they are), God speed and come home soon!

Kids have opened their Santa presents, wifey and I are getting the house ready for guests at noon.

I forgot how exciting Christmas is for a little boy.

My 4YO, Jacob was SOOOOO excited about a Thomas character that he got from "Santa". He asked him for it last week. He ran up to me and told " I got presents and Sarah, too!!(Sarah is our daughter, 1.5YO.) Gotta love it.

Merry Christmas Pelican friends!

My 18 and 15 yo kids came over last night after a nice dinner with their Mom. We had a great evening, watching The Christmas Story by the fire with my GF there as well. I'm so thankful for their resiliency over the last year with my wife and I divorcing.

I'm thankful in general, even for an ex that's a great mom to them and still a friend to me. For how happy and healthy they are. I'm humbled by those around me in many ways.

Ooh, and I'm thankful I got a dry day to drive the 911 to work yesterday. It's been a sloppy mess around here lately.

My daughter is off to work this morning, we'll do presents and dinner in the afternoon. Tip your baristas well today

Merry Christmas to everyone. I wish this world was in better shape than it is. I hope the troops are safe and think about their sacrifices.

Made Eggs Benedict for my family, mother in law and my brother and his family, who live two doors down. The usual toiletries in the stocking, haven't opened presents yet. Its really windy here and in the high 40s, so not too bad. Going to my brothers for dinner at 4.

On New Years eve, a friend invited us to stay in his RV in Pasadena and watch the Rose Parade, reserved seating. Only done that once before.

Had to take the wife to work this morning so I've got the day to myself. Called the relatives and opened a couple of small things before she went to work this AM. We'll open the rest of the stuff and write up the thank-you cards tonight. It's great - no ratrace, no runaround, no having to deal with 2 dozen people tramping through our place. The best Christmas is a stress-free, low-key Christmas. I'll be well-rested and happy to head back to work tomorrow, unlike all the people that'll be stuck in traffic or airport security lines. Ahhhh, bliss.

I'm here at work killing time. We'll have our big Christmas gig tomorrow. I'll also get the 930 out and give rides to anyone that wants one. It is only supposed to be in the 30's and the 930 just loves cold weather.

Spent the morning with the family of a very nice neighbor, who understood I had no one else to share it with. It was very nice to see the kids open their packages; two of the kids are handicapped and it made the day all that much more beautiful seeing how much they enjoyed their gifts. In inviting me, they showed the true spirit of the Season and made my day.

I am blessed in so many ways.......

Just opened presents. The wife bought me a Bell Sport 3 helmet, a membership in the POC, and a race clinic and track day for the Short Track Series at Willow Springs on January 26 and 27! It'll be my first time on the track.

Cindy & I are doing pretty much nothing. No presents, since we tend to buy what we want when we want. So, instead of buying more "stuff", we spent money on helping out others...a cousin going through a painful divorce, a daughter in a temporary finacial bind, a nice check to the local no kill shelter, $ to the salvation army...stuff like that.

We too are blessed...

We're going to my brother's house this afternoon so all three of my brother's families can take turns trying to impress each other with their wealth. I don't play, partly because they are all so far in debt trying to pretend to be rich that deep down inside i know I could buy and sell all of them. I just sit there and smile and bite my tongue. It used to bother me that they look down their snobby noses at me and my family, now it amuses me. They'll still be deep in debt when I'm retired and living comfortably.
You're a real ray of sunshine, hope you feel better.

Going pretty good for me...
Smith & Wesson Model 17-4, .22LR caliber, late 70s vintage, target hammer, trigger, and grips. Quite minty, came with box and paper from a little mom & pop shop in Iowa.
