Have a friend who is enjoying some recent success in his field. Even my wife has picked up the fact that he lies constantly. A coworker and I used to joke that we had to apply a % adjustment to anything he said (just like the 'rule of 2'). you'll be talking to him on Tuesday and the story will be 'i just got xxxxx' yet when you ask about 'xxxxxx' two weeks later it'll be 'oh that never came together'; even though he claimed it was a done deal two weeks earlier (as in cash in the bank done)!!

he happens to also like to impress folks with brand names and i suppose this is part of that particular trait.

but he is a nice guy and i'm sure i have some wierd faults as well so i look at it as a little more color in my life.
