Do it in the dirt! 1/3 mile oval in this town...great racing, and as grass roots as it gets!

Thing thats nice about , it is it's spec class racing. One chassis builder.
All the tracks are local. So no 5 hr drive to go racing. http://http://www.xcelchassis.com/index.htm

Redneck racin'! Do you meet the missing teeth requirements?
![]() We have 3/8 mile oval just north of Wichita, I've spent many a Saturday night there the last few summers. My 4 year old son gets a kick out of the racing, and his grandpa and 8 year old uncle like to go with us. Last Saturday featured sprint cars, modifieds, and a few other lesser classes. The people in the crowd can be "interesting", but it's good cheap entertainment. I can imagine it's a blast from the driver's perspective, go for it!

Hey Vinman, (thread drift here), do you know who/of Reggie Fountain (is)? I saw a TV show on his operations a few months back and it brought back memories of my college days. He had finished his racing career, but owned the apt complex I lived in (and another one that was adorned with some of his trophies). He kept a "bachelor's pad" (unoccupied 99% of the time) that was two stories below mine...and occasionaly one of his guys would have a boat parked outside that was being delivered, I was impressed

I've always wanted to try dirt, but never got the chance. I'm not much of a fighter either and I always figured that was a requirement ![]()
