Great job Trekkor!

Another 2.5 lb's here.

I used to say I was in shape... round is a shape :)

Keep up the good work everyone

Love seeing the posts of progress, keep it up, guys!

I had a strange week, last Thursday AM I weighed in at 219. On Saturday I was at 225...and I hadn't strayed from my regimen. My only guess is that the weight training is staring to kick in as I can see considerably more muscle definition and I feel stronger which will be good in the long run.

As of today I'm back to 219. That's a big number for me as it means my BMI is now 29.9 (no longer obese). Yay for small victories!

Good job!

Sometimes certain foods cause water retention and higher body weight.

Well it took forever to drop the first 10Lbs, now I'm down another 2.
I think I'm gonna have to step it up to get the next 10? More sweat.

Congrats on your success guys!

Hey All,

My Saturday weigh in = -2 lbs. Slow but steady :)

Hope you all are doing well

trekkor 03-01-2008 10:24 AM

I'm not losing or gaining right now.

I have stalled on the exercise again, however.http://www.914club.com/bbs2/style_em...t/headbang.gif

I agree on the caloric/weight loss aspect as well as the improved sleep and awareness from cutting back on the booze! I cut virtually all hard liquor and beer about six months ago. Still drinking red wine but generally limit it to 3 days/week or so. I have dropped 8lbs and this is definitely one of the factors.

I'm glad that this thread is still alive and that people are actually trying to check in. These little things do count even if it's to say ... "I'm sitting on my butt ;) "

Lendaddy ...
You don't have to make a huge change just something small. Think of it as a token try with a real easy goal of like 1 pound per month or even a 1/2 pound. Even at 1/2 pound per month you can still manage 5 pounds by the end of the year :D

I got stuck at a 81-82.5kg wall.

Time for cadio ~~~~~~~~~ ughhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

My original plan was to hit 80kg or a tad under ... yes, underweight by height and BMI (I'm just a tad shy of 6')
Then work on the cadio and muscle mass building. That way when my weight does go up I'll know that it's not just fat but actually muscle.

As for being medically correct ... I severely doubt it.

I wish that my schedule would allow me to do regular trips to the gym or some other form of physcial movement like Aikido or Taichi. Yeah, I'm into that kind of stuff :D

Although, I started my New Year's resolution to hit 80kg by the end of the year, I have actually updated that to be a cut 6 pack by the end of the year but with high hopes of actually October 31st. hehe, I plan to update that too once I get off my butt ;)

Thank goodness I no longer look like I'm 4-5 months pregnant

I saw 220 this morning. First it said 119.5. I couldn't believe it!

I'm 2 lb off my target this week. I've been tracking my progress on a spreadsheet and I should be 207 by now but I weigh 209. Not bad though since it's still 5 lb of weight loss. Gotta crank up the miles on my bike and cut back some more on the junk food.

Big Ed 03-03-2008 08:48 AM

215 at this morning's weigh in.

Let's keep it going!

Hey, my (although much dimished) beer gut is now lopsided -- the right side is larger. How weird is that?

12own911 03-03-2008 02:19 PM

Hi. Down to 134lb. Bought the BodyBugg to track cals in and out... I figure that I should hit 126 by 4/26/08 if I lose a pound a week.

Keep up the great work everyone!

red911sc 03-08-2008 05:38 AM

Hi Gang,

Only lost a 1/2 lb. this week but a loss is a loss and I am happy with it.

Hang in there everyone!

From Sunday to Tuesday I did Jay Robb's 3 Day Fruit Flush diet and went from approximately 189 to 180 lbs.

Of course it's not all fat that comes off, but it did set my body up for a more balanced diet excluding pasta, breads and processed foods and including more raw vegetables, fruit, solid proteins and good fats like flax and fish oils.

I already have the psyllium drink every few days or weekly at least, so the weight loss was not the result of colon cleansing for me!

Day One is 25 grams of Whey protein as a drink every two hours from 8am to 4pm with a raw vegetable meal, add avocado or olive oil and a chicken breast at 6pm for dinner.

Day Two and Three is one serving of fresh fruit every two hours from 8am to 4pm with the same raw vegetable dinner at 6pm and a 50 gram whey protein drink after.

I typically jog for about 40 minutes daily (4.5 miles for me), but I dialed it down to a 4.5 mile daily walk (60 minutes) during the flush.

I was never really hungry, never felt starved and I was getting plenty of good nutrients along the way.

If you want details, PM me.

Best,

Kurt

No change this week but I bought the BodyBugg for intake/out-take of calories and it appears to be working fine so far... of course I have to monitor my calories and input them correctly...

trekkor 03-10-2008 09:05 AM

I over-did it last night on the pizza.

Time to start again.

Disappointing.

Well I dropped a total of 15 pounds but have since put on 5. I've been hitting the gym pretty hard and am amazed at my strength gains. I'm guessing that extra 5 is muscle. I've also been running 3 miles 3x a week and one 2 hr mountain bike ride on Saturday. I'm a pretty healthy eater and have found that as long as I don't let myself get too hungry I can moderate the foods and amounts I eat. I'm still off wine and beer during the week and am convinced it has made a gigantic difference in my energy level and sleep patterns.

Just a word of encouragement for you guys!!! I'm going to start today to lose a few ( have a sales meeting on a cruise in a month so have some motivation)..
Did anyone ever sit and realize how much money it would cost you to take 20-30 lbs out of our cars ? This by far is much cheaper LOL

red911sc 03-15-2008 03:00 AM

Hi Gang,

Down 2 1/2 lb's this week for a total of 23.8 lb's since Jan. 14th. I am feeling a lot better but I still have 30 lb's to go :)

Hang in there everyone!

And Thank You for all the encouragement!
