It's tough for everyone. Getting my weight down was 1000 times harder that quitting smoking. I congratulate you on your courage and honesty to come back and announce that you had a hiccup in your program. Keep fighting!

It would be easier to maintain if you incorporate an exercise that you enjoy. I have a new found thrill - minimalist running - not quite barefoot but close. I am committed to my 14 month goal of running a half marathon when I turn 50. After 3 months of ups and downs I am up to 2 miles in my toe shoes and am loving it.

I sat between two very hefty people on my flight tonight. People, lose weight! It's not good for you, it's not good for us.

The other day a very, very large woman sat down next to me in an airport terminal. From the smell emanating, I could tell she had difficulty with hygiene in the crevasses and nether regions. I walked away. It's hard to imagine living like that.
