I used to eat Sushi at a place in Chatt regularly. I knew the chef well & his wife. He was Japanese, she was Columbian (smokin'). One day I'm eating lunch & she sits next to me. Her husband is on the other side of the bar. She says that she has gotten a new job but I don't recognize the name of the company. So I say, "what do they make?" With her limited command of English, she starts looking at her clothes. She spreads her legs & rocks her hips back & grabs two short little pieces of thread hanging from "ground zero" of her crotch (cratch) & says, "they make this."
Trying my best to remain civil, I said, "Oh, I didn't know they made that here in Chattanooga." This was no illusion.

When does a thread become a thread? Some say at the time you hit 'enter'. While others claim it's not till the second or even the third post.
Is it really up to the 'thread starter' to decide? Shouldn't we as the collective decide when a thread begins. Or more to the point when it begins to take a life of it's own as this one has? I am of the opinion that a thread is a thread as soon as it's posted. But that's just me...
