Breakfast Cereal- your favorites?

Frosted Mini-Wheats with some kind of berries on them. Been my staple for 7 years now. All the fiber keeps my plumbing running too.

Honorable mentions: Cinnamon Toast Crunch, Raisin Bran, Multi-Grain Cheerios.

+1 on golden grahams. Or plain old graham crackers. I used to love both when I was younger.

In recent years though, I've TOTALLY lost my taste for cow's milk. I used to like it, now I just think it's nasty and the thought of drinking it doesn't appeal to me (I guess tastes change over the years). As such, I don't really have breakfast cereal anymore. I'll have milk in coffee and as part of sauces and stuff, but on it's own? Gross.

In Britain they had a cereal with yoghurt chips, dried fruit and granola. I really miss that cereal.

I eat porridge (rolled oats) as it seems to be one of the few cereal type breakfasts without massive amounts of sugar added. I have this with soy milk. Supposedly porridge also has cancer fighting properties and low GI.

But... If it's the weekend I eat French toast with bacon and banana with maple syrup. Washed down with a couple of lattes.

As breakfast is my favorite meal (I only do supper for the wine) I tend to make it a full course affair; eggs, sausage, hash browns & toast is common. It is kind of a treat to have cereal once a month or so, whatever is in the cupboard will do.

Did you just say that?

When I do eat cereal... Scottish style oatmeal with a pinch of salt and non-hydrogenated margarine.

Some of you guys might want to look at the sugar content of that stuff you are eating.

Captin Crunch? Yeah I loved it as a kid... isn't it about two thirds sugar?
