politics, religion and sex
Must be more battles fought over those three subjects than any others in the history of the world, yet we're not suppose to talk about them

BTW, I'm just here for the pics.

Well consider this:

users Posts Threads
46788 3615704 371827

Posts Threads
Avg user 77 7.94

Yet the top 90 people account for 791,282 Posts (22%) and average 8792.02 posts.

So yes, - there is a small core of registered users that account for a large amount of post activity.

Personally I think its a sickness and I have it bad. Crossing the river to fetch water.

I was told today that an Internet community of this class is a perfect forum for me. I am not particularly outgoing, extrovert or socializing as a person, but I still need a lot of input, ideas, opinions and love to clash them with my own and see what comes out the other end.

Maybe that is the definition of a posterwhore. Particularly when the majority of the posts are on OT.

Come to think of it, I believe this thread theme sort of came back and bit me in the ar$e.

What counts as being in the core group? I pop on every now and then but don't say much like the people that seem to be here all day...

By 'core group' I mean the people who engage most in the different threads as of the last month (year) or so. The names (and avatars) I usually see the most.

Either well known members for several years or, like me, a rather recently registered posterwhore.

The more a person engage in a variety of different topics, the more one feel you get to know the person behind the avatar. To me there are maybe 20-30 members I feel belong in that group (to me, mind you). Outside that 'inner core' there are perhaps another 50 members in an 'other circle' and then there are a lot of members sporadically posting.

Do any of you Americans actually have the faintest idea of what this durn for'ner trying his very best to explain???
