Mileage Badges
I've searched high and low for mileage badges for my car and cannot find any. So I'm thinking of having them made.
Shane of SCWDP squared me away with the right vendor and he's ready to make them once I get a count. If you're interested, reply with how many you want and tell me if you want 100,000 km (62,137.10 miles) or 200,000 km (124,274.20 miles) or both. The badge will look like this one with color changes. The road will be black with a white center stripe. Blackground is silver and mileage numbers will be black. If you want to go with 200,000 km or 300,000 km and drop the 100,000 km, we can consider that. These badges will be roughly $30 each + shipping. It depends on how many we order ![]() Last edited by Hard-Deck; 11-16-2007 at 08:44 AM.. Reason: Km to Mi conversion numbers, price, |

Did Porsche ever make these? Only mfg. that I know of offhand is Volvo, who makes a big deal out of them.
I think they do mileage, not kilometerage, tho... |

I'd guess you won't sell too many 300 K km, but I've got 235K miles. I didn't drive but a tiny fraction of them, but the car deserves to wear a badge, maybe.
I'd have to get to 248K mi to wear a 400 km. That probably won't happen in my lifetime (or at least my life with this car). My point is, I guess, what is the point of a 100 km badge? Seems to me a person needs some serious seat time to brag about it. Nice looking, though, I'll say that for it. |

Absolutely!
Sign me in for a 200.000 km badge. Finally I will have a cool badge despite not driving an exclusive SC! ![]()

snapper, make sure you add in something for envelopes to ship, and the fee for the prototype. I am just saying, be careful with the cost...

Thanks
V8Ranch. Thanks bud, I've adjusted to roughly $30 each.
Everyone, once I get a tally, I'll know for sure, shouldn't waiver more than a couple of bucks from $30. I'm not trying to make a profit, just break even. |

I need a 400K badge...
![]() tcar, that badge is a factory 356 badge. Reproductions are available here http://www.356sales.com/badge.html Although I believe that originally the badge celebrated mileage with the original motor and gearbox. In the first thread I saw on this topic, 200,000 mile or 300,000 km grill badges the poster (Paul491) said that they were going to approach the factory for permission to reproduce...

There is a badge for mercedes at 250,000 km; 500,000 km and 1 million km. I am not sure if there is one at 3/4 of a million miles. I have only seen one with a million km badge. Here is a 250,000 km one: ![]()

O/K everyone, now I've got a little concerned about this.
Yes, this photo I have on the original posting is of a 356 club badge. I didn't know it was a Porsche badge, so it may be trademarked/patented etc... I'm checking the legality of reproducing and reproducing with color changes. Keep your interest coming in if you want one, in the meantime I'll check the legal side. Well, it won´t be possible to patent a design of such a badge but it may still be protected design wise. Hope it works out.

Too bad these weren't available before my old 951 went "boom". I could have proudly worn a 300,000 km one.

Mike Robbins keeps having to make a new badge for his original-owner Speedster... He's over 1000000km... he used to use the 100000km badge and just re-work the 1....
