How you know your stressed out...

When you see a mid-day trip to the dentist as an escape from the grind. Not only that I actually fell asleep in the chair while his was drilling on my teeth....twice. This story is not embellished as it needs no embellishment.

I have arrived

Apparently you also spell you're as "your" when you're stressed

I know I'm stressed when it feels like someone has clamped vice grips on my right nut and is hanging there doing the twist. Sometimes the left side of my head goes numb, not parts of it but the entire thing. Sometimes I get heart palps so bad I drive myself to the ER in the middle of the night.

Trade ya.

Holy crap, I hope your joking. That ain't good for you. I've just starting taking blood press meds for that. My BP was 210/105. My BP whilst sleeping was 180/90. Down to 140/80 now. A bit lower still would be better so the docs say.

I have a buddy like that. Funny thing is he has the world by the tail and has no tangible reasons for extreme stress.

I love going to the dentist. In fact, the more it hurts and the more I bleed, the cleaner and healthier I feel afterwards. Really. And my dentist is s total MILF.

My attorney...oh my. The term dusty diamond is really more appropirate as she's, as far as I know, and as far as her hips look, never squeazed one out.

Crap, now I've got images of Billy Cosby holding a catchers mit.

I had a friend that once described his job situation as "When you drive to work in the morning and have to think of a reason not to steer off the bridge, you know your job sucks"
I never quite understood what he meant until a couple years ago, then I got the heck out of there as fast as I could.

You know your stressed:

When something wakes you in the middle of the night, be it anything, dog whimpering to go out, having to pee, kid waking up, and that is your sleep for the night, the rest of your evening can either be spent tossing and turning worrying about stuff or hoping you can doze off in front of the TV in the living room or you just stay up and go to work early.

I have been in as early as 4 in the morning catching up on paperwork.

Damn straight. I had that "revelation" or "epiphany" or whatever you want to call it a couple years ago. So I did two things:

1. I changed jobs and
2. I started driving to work via a route with no bridges.

I have exactly three and one half days left of the DC nightmare commute before I begin working from home in Phoenix week after next. It's gonna be a complete change in lifestyle and mountains of less stress. With the traffic and Metro escalators here, I look around myself and think, "Even if I win the race, I'm still a rat." Coming to an end very soon.
