Totalled GT in local Porsche dealer. Driver spun getting on freeway. Shattered front left wheel, three ceramic rotors with sections missing and rear wheel carrier at bearing broken in half. Two places where composite body has cracks. 600K in repairs. no pics. San Jose, driver was getting onto 101. Last edited by stevepaa; 03-13-2008 at 03:21 PM.. | ||

Isn't the car only worth 400k? How can that justify 600k in repairs?

I should have phrased that better. Estimate was 600K. So insurance totalled the car.

at the rate they are crapping out, i don't see the parts going up in price long term the demand goes down, every time the supply goes up i guess the owner of the last cgt on the planet, will not have to worry bout finding parts for the car

thought the body was 3 sections - if the middle or rear got damaged it got flown back to the fatherland to be repaired - if the front was damaged it could be repaired by replacing that section
