Most likely because they change definitions to suite their needs, a guy who goes to a church isn't a racist, even though his church of 20 years preaches hate towards white people & America, but he isn't a racist,, but if you have a Confederate flag, but don't preach hate, you are a racist, even though the flag is a part of your heritage, WMDs, change too, just as 1st Amendment rights do, Liberals use a sliding scale, and Conservatives stick to their guns. The key word is "extreme". As Nostatic stated above, it hasn't been liberals/conservatives that get banned, it has been people who have repeatedly been very caustic. Extremely caustic.

I think the mods have done a great job keeping Pelican civil, while allowing everybody the chance to spout off.

As far as I am concerned...getting kicked off of a website is an honor. That just means that you say what you mean. Unless...of course you are talking about Rennlist.

-Rennlist is the one place where you can be kicked off for calling a fundamentalist christian an "old idiot" when he questions your opinion that gay people should have the same rights as anyone else. I know all about it, because that is what happened to me over there. And it wasn't just the bipolar blow-hard moderator that is the problem with that place: It is the OWNER. Another fundamentalist christian, he has his bible firmly inserted in his rectum, and as such gets his daily sermon in suppository fashion.

Fortunately, the place has new management. I won't go back there until the two people in question have left their positions. I surf it all the time though....

As to Pelican, I will never be kicked off of here. I want to make a point to the two bozo's over at Rennlist via showing them that I can sit for years at a competing website and successfully exist. The longer I am here, the dumber they look.

AS to "Ban Island"...I don't know where that's at. There is a Rennlist ban island down in the Florida keys were I go camping on a regular basis; It is a great place with picknick tables, coconut palms, and the bonefish are literally jumping out of the water. All you need is a good kayak, a fishing rod, and a tent. The local marina even has a special section of their parking lot set up for Porsches. That section keeps getting larger and larger...

I disagree. Getting kicked off a website means a person is a tool and trouble-maker who is too dense to understand and comply with the rules or get along with others. Being a troll is not a badge of honor. Saying what you mean is not cool if what you really mean shows others that you are a misfit.
