I think pelican should field a racing team in...

The 24hoursoflemons series... Think about an old 924 that ran good would be perfect.

One word - liability.

It would be a great promotional opportunity though.

Sounds like a great idea. I'm in. Well, at least in spirit, if not the time to dedicate to actual car prep. Though the $500 (?) spending limit should keep that to a minimum. Of course, my cousin reminded me that partaking in a race where all the cars are most noted for their laughable inexpensiveness might not be the safest form of motorsports out there.

From the Site
"WHAT'S A $500 CAR, EXACTLY?

A car that reaches the starting line for a grand total investment of $500, including purchase and preparation. The only things not included in that figure are approved safety equipment, brakes, and wheels/tires."

I might be willing to sell a 914 I'm keeping around for a rainy day to Pelican for $499 (plus some special consideration later on parts deals. . .)

I really think that some pelicans should put a team together... i cant help tho sorry.
but yes a 914 might work better because it would be harder to damage the midengine.
