"When The Zombies Come..."

I've heard this phrase a lot lately. I find it pretty odd.

I was at the range the other day shooting trap, and one of the guys who joined me (and I did not know) was attempting to shoot trap with a tactical shotgun. I asked him why he had a tactical shotgun. His answer? "For when the zombies come."

A few weeks ago, I was having lunch with friends. For some reason, the discussion turned to what weapons would be best to defend against zombies. (A 12 gauge slug to the brain, was my opinion.)

Then I was in a meeting with a lady who was fussy about seating and insisted on facing the door. I asked her why. "So I can see when the zombies come."

Anyone here this lately?

Anyone else notice that zombies are kind of enjoying a pop culture comeback?

Hmmm... Could they be referring to the Obama supporters?

It depends on your Zombie. I find that your average movie Zombie take more than one shot to stop them. You need to separate the legs from the body, and the arms, or they are still mobile.

Shotguns are much more effective than rifles. I do have to admit, that none of the movies have used Barret rifles with 50BMG rounds...

You'll find the answer here:
The best movie line ever ;)
but be warned, it might have a slight bit of political humor which could cause the other side to whine and complain and get someone on time-out

have been working on my screenplay. it's called "zombie mambo". it's a direct line for line rip off of "dirty dancing". but twenty minutes in zombies start killing everybody.

I was in Yosemite last weekend for a bachelor party and on the drive back to SF we started talking about this... turns out two of the guys in the car (two of my oldest friends) have both given this a great amount of serious thought, e.g. where and how they would hide at home, which room at work would be most defensible from incoming zombie attack, etc.

Then when I began to think about it, I realized that I have the same "plans" in my head, it's just that in my scenario the issue is not rampaging zombies but rampaging people after the killer virus hits and government collapses. Strange.

In the meantime, I'm going to be keeping an ear out for phonetic English... thanks for the tip

The problem is that it doesn't sound any different. It's not like illiterate speech patterns that you hear (here) in the ghetto. You need to see their (there) writing. I know, (no), it's tough.
