Just to be clear, I don't watch Grey's or regular tv very much. Mostly dvr stuff from HD stations and BSG.

A few years ago I told my then-wife that Sandra Oh looked like Rocky Dennis. She said "Who?" I pulled up some pics on the 'puter and I think I laughed for a week. She was not nearly as amused. Any-hoo

I used to watch Lost and tuned in last night to see how the grand folks on the island are doing. When I tuned to ABC, Grey's was still on and my 50" HD screen was filled with Sandra's gargantuan mug. *shudder

Other Asian women are being "denied" a place at the table? Oh, I forgot Hollywood was an egalitarian run town where only the hugely talented and incredibly beautiful people succeed. Like all the 5'-6", 5'-7" stars (Cruise, Stallone, Fox) and the hottest of the hot women (Kathy Bates, etc).

Because Sandra Oh is ugly. Not just by Western standards, but by all tastes. Okay, People Magazine did vote her as one the “50 Most Beautiful People” of 2005. That’s right - she’s been placed in the same ranks as Jessica Alba, Ziyi Zhang, Heidi Klum, and Alicia Keys.
So... maybe we’re just super-biased against Sandra Oh. But for every second that she’s on TV, some other hotter Asian woman is being denied a chance at stardom. Sandra Oh isn’t being fair to the Asian community. If anything, she’s the racist. Against her own kind, no less.
We really don’t have anything personal against Sandra Oh. To be quite fair, we're ****ty actors ourselves. We’re just jealous of all her special treatment.

Have you had dinner with her? Do you know someone closely that knows her closely? Upon what are you basing this "personality"?

Everybody has their own personal tastes. I can see how some people might think she's not attractive, but I personally find her compelling. As for personality I haven't met her, but either she is a *very* good actress, or she actually has something more going on. From the stars I have met, I see a pretty good correlation between their on-screen and off-screen personalities.
